Roller coaster of effects for a very obscure platform. I enjoyed it!

Recycled
what-the-hell-is-that ? :D
cute design overall, massive thumb up for having such a nice display with a Z80 behind, for bringing another unknown computer to light and, haha, for doing some soldering to enable h/v interrupts!

Cool!
This is awesome!
Just cool. Great prod for a niche hardware.
Really enjoyed it!
Wow, rare platform and really cool demo in itself.
When we used this computer in school the graphics were really crap compared to this display of effects!
Show what you do on random hardware :D
Cool demo.
This is how I like my 8-bit demos, nice good looking effects, solid design and graphics work, reasonable pace, no scrollers. Music wasn't really something to write home about but did its thing well enough. Perhaps a personal favorite from the compo.
Awesome! Love seeing stuff on obscure platforms. Should have won the compo!
Thumbki
:)
:)
what fra & noby said =)
Totally rocks :D
@baudsurfer: What do you mean "recycled"?
It's the first demo on this particular machine, which means the creators probably spent most of their time actually trying to get something that works at all, so yes it's probably not going to be 100% original "in your face" never seen before effects.
As far as I'm concerned it was awesome (except that the roller coaster part was a tad wayyyyyyy too long :D)

like it (but last part too long, IMHO)
wooow!!
Really enjoyable!
Excellent stuff! :-) Just tested on real hardware here at home, after a minor hiccup with the HxC floppy emulator it ran very smooth. :-)
A lot of fun; I have not-so-fond memories of the Tiki, and it's nice to see people pushing it. All the classical effects, but well done—the last part is a bit long, of course.
Sorry for the ghosting during the compo playback. We'll do better next time :-)

What noby said... very very nice and thoroughly enjoyable :)
@neon: I crave that writeup!
Cool
Excellent! Never heard of this machine, great demo with cool effects and ace music, awesome!
This was utterly and totally amazing! The platform itself has a special place in the hearts of the techy kids of the 80s and early 90s in Norway. Last part overstayed its welcome a bit, but that's really my only criticism, and it's a tiny one. :)
I feel I should also point out that this is a demo-demo, with demo buildups, scene cuts and sync how it should be. Bonus points for not packing it full of scrollers. :)

No clue about the HW, but the demo looks very good for a first demo on an 8 bit platform. Well done.
oldschool.
Baudsurfer: Stop disliking.

Congratulation for:
1-First TIKI-100 demo!
2-Breaking both TIKI-100 emul and MESS emulators! Neither can run this demo!

@ramon: you need neon's emulator to be able to run the demo since it's (for obvious reasons :-P) the only one that emulates the vsync/hsync mod. Also think it's the only one that properly emulates updating the vertical scroll register and palette, at least last time I checked MESS did neither of these correctly.
@neon: so, any chance for a public release of the emulator now? :-)

Thumb!
Yeah!
Interesting hw and a solid demo, PT3 music helps a ton with an obscure platform.
Nice production on a constrainted platform!
No idea this machine existed, double thumb for that :)
Most obscure platform ever! And demo is neat!
A cool production!
What people in general have said. Would watch more for this platform.
So so.
Platform unlocked
nice tiki'in there! :D lovely tune
Nice demo for a unknown computer from norway
Platform unlocked :)
Platform unlocked :)
I am insanely impressed! :D
Nice! thx for Greetings. ;)
I'm pleased to hear about this platform in such a nice way! :) Good prod indeed. The amount of effort you put in this shows! :)
TIKI-100 never heard of it. Nice
The music is seriously fantastic!! The first minute is perhaps the best oldskool I have ever heard.
i'm thumbin' it
quite awesome!
Top marks for basically smashing the crap out of a brand new (old) platform. Everything looked really well put together. Also 1000 internet points awarded for soldering your interrupts!! O_o
Exactly what Fra wrote!
Exactly what Overflow wrote!
Proper!
Applause!
For platform and demo and music!
effects, gfx, new platform
Å?
nice! new platform and well used
Wild. For real.
@Baud. Really?
@Baud. Really?
finally got to watch it since i hardly remember any of it at the party. nice 8-bit demo indeed and looking forward to the next one.
Absolutely fresh.
very nice
firstie
If I could give a second thumb up for the writeup, I would!
Love reading about all the technical behind-the-scenes stuff.

Awesome demo! Never knew this computer, it's a phatt boy with great graphics mode. I think I saw the idea with the vsync on the Oric Atmos as well. Thumb up!
Apparently I missed this one. New platform and still-good-for-platform thumb.
Nice demo. I appreciate that you paid attention to transitions and sync!
While the effects themselves don't seem to be spectacular at first glance, reading your AWESOME write-up made me realize that there's more to them than meets the eye. Very cool!

well done :D
Having used this in school I was convinced it was a piece of shit better forgotten. You have proved me wrong sir :)
Still great! I really like how the music flows between the sections.
excellent!
