The first of Tran's esoteric screensavers. It runs in 56hz, get the fix to run it at 60hz.

One of my favorite productions by Tran.
Great music, and fluid blending.

Like a lava lamp, great to just leave running in a dark room.

Just a vote for this indeed timeless screensaver/demo.

Incredibly mellow and relaxing. Words cannot describe this production, neither can screenshots. Experience it now!

Dunno what to write about this one. It was one of my first demos on the PC and I still watch it from time to time. Lovely. Indeed!

Timeless!

As always, simple ideas are the best. Just see how it does what it does. Yet, the result is fascinating!

I can't believe I never commented on this...

rather nice, certainly back then

The music gets to tend annoying after three hours but apart from that small flaw... yes.
rulez added on the 2002-11-11 13:54:31 by kb_ kb_
uh, "tends to get", blah. should've slept last night.

THIS one is screensaver!?

i always thought it was demo! perhaps i seen it around releasedate cause i barely rememebr what was it about except plasmas and sprites and smooth progression of the demo. an another gem from the teenyears what made me love demoscene more and more. this was so much alive and so much of the other world =]

i don't know, but this intro gave us the basic idea for the change of seasons demo :) i've uploaded some quite old stuff, sheck them out!

Here are the handy hints to get it to work properly on your XP machine.

Download Timeless and the fix, noting the instructions in the unzip.
Download and install VDMSound eg http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound/
I used version 2.0.4
Rightclick Timefix.com and select "Run with VDMS"
It should work straightup if you select 2) for soundblaster, 3) for port 230, 3) for IRQ 7, 2) for sample rate 22050.
You can check or change default settings for VDMS by editing VDMSrun.bat AND VDMS.ini

It's worth the effort!

Note: You can get sound to "work" with xp automatic emulation port 220, Interupt 5, but this sucks!

Cheers,
TheFarmer

Atmospheric, beautiful, energetic, soothing. Harmonic and flowing.. Very stimulating to the imagination, to the emotions, to the right side of the brain.. No flaws, great drumless music (drums would spoil a lot) and bright, nice colors. This is a great demo!

I ran out of time to watch the end of the demo ;) but I needed just a watch to realise this was an instant CdC.

A random fact: The song Wooden Leg by And Also The Trees from the album The Klaxon contains the same, or at least very similar arpeggiated chords as the soundtrack :)

Overrated, but I'm abstaining from thumbdown due to the existing source code release.
It's really great production, I liked the music very much.
