naturally the encoder totally butchered this to death on the stream so im very glad i watched it again in realtime.
this is where abstract noise prods are at and what others who ride this style will have to use as reference.
the only criticism I would have is that all those black 2d bars/polygons look a bit too cheap and 2000ish but kudos for resisting the urge to put color somewhere in this monochrome demo this time ;)
the soundtrack is an ambient killer, theres really no style jco cant deliver spot on.
conclusion:
i will watch it again many times, could have ranked even higher in my book.

yep, this is still still. astounding how far one can go just with black white polygon basics. the exclusive duality with "true colors" is nice, and somewhat art in itself. let's not forgot the atmospheric and fitting soundtrack ♪ (in both)

Yeah, you have to watch this one yourself. YouTube will never do it justice, especially not the way they encode stuff.

really really great, only nag is that the greetings made it almost normal after the fuzzy goodness

I liked how over the top this went with the moiré. Something that you usually would try to avoid become a theme for a demo. Best of compo.

I liked the other still - true colors demo better than this one, but this is cool too. Especially the first half. Soundtrack is really good too.

Experimental but not in a bad way.

Just such clever use of shapes, movement, patterns and interference. Really takes some skill to make something relatively minimal yet still be interesting and coherent. Still is the master of this style.

BTW I recommend anyone who can to watch this in realtime because all the subtlety is lost through video compression.

..but how can you capture that which is.. unencodable? I dunno, maybe CCITT/fax encode each frame in b/w? :) There's something about bringing back a sense of impermanence, or at least forcing people to watch your work run realtime.

Stylistically works well. I need to see this again on a better monitor. I appreciate you going more 2d with these which is criminally underutilized on hires prods.

Worked extremely well on the big screen with all the sensory overload, and the soundtrack quickly went from kind of a Intrinsic Gravity rehash to something unique and very phat.

unique effects here, my eyes are already tired from those shiny spheres, cubes and pyramids in recent demoscene productions. this reminds of some kosmoplovci and cannapaceus, in a good way.

Lovely demo with some nice synchronized effects and great music. Not the coolest effects, but has a flow I miss in most newer demos. Ie. most new demos is just flashy viusals and now "soul".
