Since my recent wtfx 1-bit player was so well received, here's another one - and it's twice as cool because it has twice as many channels :D Screenshot says it all - 4 channel wavetable synthesis with fixed-lenght looped samples, a total of 17 volume levels mixed at ~23KHz. No tick-based fx this time, instead you'll get some massive heavy metal overdrive.

This time, there's an XM converter included in the package, using a specially crafted template. Which means that no, you can't just convert random XMs with this, but at least there's a relatively convenient way for making music with this thing.

The routine is written for NMOS machines (ie. original Sinclair Spectrum models). I've included a CMOS version as well (for clones using a CMOS Z80, obviously), but haven't had the chance to test it.

Anyway, here's a recording from my 48K machine, sounds a bit more gritty than on emulators.

Very nice and innovative. Something similar has been done before by Tim follin in some of the early games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy0umg4ZuUY

The fluidcore one is obviously far more impressive.
