rulez added on the 2014-04-19 22:31:11 by Bobic
Great effects + excellent music
Awesome! Great music and design!
SNES!
Go Jake! :-)
Fresh! Great track too!
PlayPsyGo on Revision in stead of the gathering.. wtf ;)
Capture from final ver (running on real hardware) uploading to youtube right now! Way to go Ferris! :)
Good
great!
I liked the tune, but I expected the visuals to take off at some point.
I love the motion graphics visuals.
thumb for SNES!
Japan TechStyle Dancing Demo !!!
SNES, Snyle, Snusic, Sneet!
this was pretty nice actually, the music is exceptionally impressive
Awesome!
Incredible SNES demo! :)
Great synchro. Cool Prods!
"The only thing in that compo that wasn't shit / if this one's hipster bullshit, I want more of it... (say it again..)"
what tomaes says ;)
wat!? :) clean design and fresh ideas. I love it!
Fuck! This would be cool on any platform!
Just wish for a bit more visuals rather than looping.

Cool :D
Great stuff Ferris!
snes!!!! gratz!

I'm amazed :D
I'm amazed :D
Platform exploration + not boring the user = thumb
Unconventional style & platform: waiting for more elix releases on 2014!
when the revision stream was down.. again.. i switched to the gathering just as this started. and i was very pleased. too awesome.
Lovely techno stuff and style to kill for. More!
Wow, what a perfect moment to discover this. At various points in the last week-and-a-bit, Okkie and I have shared rants about how the demoscene and the chipmusic scene have so much to learn from each other and really need to cross-pollinate a whole lot more. In my mind this is exactly the sort of thing that would result... something that would rock the dancefloor at EINDBAAS just as well as it would rock a demoparty.
Not a fan of the visuals - surely clever but a bit too minimalistic for my taste. Thumb up for the tune anyway!
(and what Gasman said)
(and what Gasman said)
nice visuals, music was typical hipster cheesy edm bullshit but still not that bad.
Cool!
awesome!
Awesome NU-skool approach toward ancient hardware. That's the ticket !
Love it! Consistent and extremely nice! Great work ferris!
#fuckferris <3
nice SNES musicvideo thingie demo and i like SNES :>
Groovy!!
Great soundtrack and visuals. I like it!
Nintendoooo!
Awesome. One of the best 16-bit console demos ever.
interesting, and the music choice is a refreshing change
nintendö mast0rpiece.
i would have given the lower part of the screen some more attention.

Yes. Agree with everything Gasman said and Ferris should play EINDBAAS.
A bit more content wouldn't have hurt, but I just love the tune! Any chance of a download of some kind?
+n
yea please let us get dat tune!

awezone! thx
Refreshingly different, good stuff!
super awesome music and sync
pretty damn cool!
this one is awesome!
Very cool little demo!
Absolutely! Looking forward to more from elix in the future.
win.
oh yeah! nice tune ...
please nerf ferris O.o
Rulez!
Rulez!
This one totally blew me away!!
Not convinced. Too minimalistic graphics for my taste, and cTrix has done way stronger tunes. :\ Absolutely not my cup of tea.
Oh wait, misread that, cTrix just recorded the soundtrack... You're excused. ;) Hopefully we'll get to hear an awesome cTrix tune on your next demo then!
impressive
cute and simple but nicely executed effects, I like it
thumb up for the (oldskool) demo itself and...
thumb up for the platform!
thumb up for the platform!
The demo looks nice but i just realized that is FMV and not real time calculated effects so i can't go for the thumb up, still nice music and nice visual :)
Style!
awesome demo with an awesome soundtrack!
Very pleasant!
And thanks for the sndtrk! :D
And thanks for the sndtrk! :D
I have had the ability to make a demo, this is exactly how I would do it. Simple, effective and great syncro! Top work mate.
Kinda minimalistic and like music video. I would normally have preferred classic demo style, but this is still very well presented.
Music roxxx!!!
I have no idea about the capabilities of the platform, but this sounds and looks very nice so thumb up!
i love absolutely everything about this!
Gotta thumb this one down because it's Nothing but a FMV. Okay, I'd give it a thumb up if it were clear about it (Nice visuals and music!), but it's not, so here you go. Sorry. I want to see real effects being done on a SNES.
*Le Dubstep* ... I'd actually would like an SPC out of but i guess most of the song is prebaked, and not rendered IRL
Also. I have sadly to downvote this because... There's not a lot of merit on ... displaying a video.
Not even the "Atoms with Links" part is rendered in real time by the machine. it's really ALL FMV.
It's kind of sad. because the graphics used actually might be done in real time by the hardware. maybe with the exception of the Pyramid but who knows. Software rendering. at max it had 54 polys total. I am not an expert. but i've seen the C64 doing pretty convincing 3D stuff. It has the same processor as the SNES. i am sure you could do it.
AT LEAST THE 2D PARTS.

Despite the uninteresting music, that's the first good looking SNES demo.
I enjoy it more due to the faking.
Also, people who have no clue should perhaps not make assumptions about oldschool platform capabilities. :)

music starts so nice and then after a while wob wob ruins it ... again. piggie then. hate that shit.
Not bad. :)
yep
I was wondering how it was posible. The first scene looks like cartesian to polar perpixel. And all the shapes are processed with sub-pixel resolution. Snes is just not that powerful. Not even with the super FX chip.
Now it makes sense. It looks like run length encoded.
Still love it thought :)

Cool demo ! Great music ! Nice platform !
Cool music, design and sync. Doesn't outstay its welcome either, which is nice. One thing I don't like is that vocal sample, but whatever.
what sensenstahl said
fresh style! :)
That was nice.
ja
on the fucking super nintendo
FMV or not, it looks very slick indeed.
A bit short
Short but great.. And Dubstep on S-Nes.. Insanity :D
awesome
Thumb up for people watching it on youtube anf complaining it's a video!
masterpiece!
Ouch, FMV... simply doesn't work for me.
nothing but joy here =)
very cool, fresh sounds with well synched visuals.
Epic....
Dopest soundtrack ever!
Cool :)
Yes!
nice
niiiice!
Wow, a video clip :P Seriously, this is perfect XD
just watched the NVScene seminar, the visuals rocks, but the most memorable thing is the mzk...I just can't get enough of it :)
Very nice! Some parts remind me of Everyway... or should that be the other way around? ;)
Music and sync!
This is so damn cool...
animations, synced, with full of energy
Awesome demo, and over way too quick!
Nice one, playing to the strengths of the hardware
How did I never thumb this up? I absolutely love this one. The music is delightful and very un-oldschool (a big plus in my book!) The visuals are amazing, and the whole package is just amazing, especially when considering it's a solo prod.
Never stop rocking Ferris!
Never stop rocking Ferris!
nice one
Missing thumb!
I love the pace of the demo and its synchronization
Not very much realtime in here I guess, cool enough
I like it. But not much realtime.
Very cool!
I am sorry I did not like this a very long time ago. Of course it rules and I frankly don't care how it was done under the bonnet. This is what a modern retrodemo should look like, but very rarely does.
The thing is, I desperately want to steal pieces of it, and it took me a while to develop enough courage to even admit it. I actually still want to steal the sliced pyramid, but I'm working on this with my psychoanalyst.

Just do it! Stealing is fine, demosceners do it all the time :D
