I'm not really a fan of BC but the tool looks great ;)

Great release, however using operators for _everything_ still feels very unintuitive to me.

I hope this will bring new blood into the scene. Remember this is not something BC no longer uses! This is unselfishness at its best, this is the Scene!

I haven't tried the tool, but this thumb is to counteract the moronic behavior of nebadon20025.

marsulpi: apparently your graphics card does not support null render-targets. what about testing it on a proper graphics card than directly thumbing down?
added on the 2012-01-20 11:52:29 by hunta hunta
nebadon2025: I think you fail to understand that Pouet is a product database, and not the personal webpage of the author or their support hotline. The fact that you don't have the intelligence to understand what everyone else in the scene knows (that compressed executables aren't in fact viruses) says more about your general knowledge level than about the authors, and giving the product a negative review because you, the user, is an idiot, isn't really their issue now is it?

So no, I'll refrain from "blowing you" and just continue my pointing and laughing instead :)

Can't really compile this one , missing :
SCRIPT_OP_CREATOR::createOp for eplayer3 and
lot of definitions for tfplayer3 , is it work for anyone ?
added on the 2012-01-20 22:08:49 by draxd draxd
draxd: these missing things are generated by the java tool eplayercppcollector.jar that is invoked automatically by estudio when exporting a project. look if you have a production.cpp. if not, then this tool was not invoked correctly
added on the 2012-01-20 22:33:46 by payne payne
draxd: payne is right. you need to have a java runtime environment installed and java.exe in your path env var. when you export the demo in estudio (F5) the java package will be called automatically. if it fails, just execute "java -jar eplayercppcollector.jar" manually from the command line
added on the 2012-01-20 22:40:04 by Pap Pap
eplayercppcollector.jar is not functioning properly because of :
java.io.FileNotFoundException: productionsources.gen (The system cannot find the file specified)
added on the 2012-01-20 22:54:12 by draxd draxd
productionsources.gen should be created when you export the demo in estudio: load the transplant project, select the demo operator and press F5
added on the 2012-01-21 00:16:41 by Pap Pap
thumbs up for releasing the tool with source code and all

Should it works on AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics card with 256MB of GDDR5 memory? I like to buy Mac Mini with such card and install Windows 7 as a second system to "return to the PC demoscene" :)

Played around a little bit. Works like a charm for me. However, it is not as intuitive as iMovie ;-) Why not quickly record a 15 minutes video-walk through? Especially getting a glimpse of the animation features would be quite helpful.

It's actually quite a shame that it's that close to werkkzeug.

Anyways. Amazingly cool stuff! The overall design is impressive and clean.

Can't understand why some hates can thumb this down...

Windows essentials detects a trojan (win32/Orsam!rts). Is it for real ?
added on the 2012-01-25 22:40:14 by TME TME
of course, it's a trojan and we want to steal your credit card information ... no, be assured that this is false alert. and excuse me for being a self-voter, but i think our release is quite good and veeery unselfish after all

This tool is truly amazing! Keep up the good job, guys!
As an old fan of Werkkzeug I figured out how most things work (+ your included demo was so informative) but I'm kinda at a deadlock with Particles and Liquids. Any hints? Pleeease!

pandora has been coded with that tool ?

thanks for sharing your baby with the community, i'm sure it'll be helpful for many people.

looks great but this:
"no null render-targets supported!"

it won't even start. i don't think my radeon 2400 won't support that dx9 feature. any fix?
added on the 2012-02-05 10:53:03 by Kabraxis Kabraxis
bull: yes, pandora was made with this, too

Kabraxis: unfortunatelly it is your graphics card that needs the fix. This is a necessary feature that the engine requires.
added on the 2012-02-05 11:24:45 by payne payne
Hey there payne!

Yeah, you should be right.
But i think my graphics card is already supporting that. Isn't "null render-target" a DX9 feature? Or is it for DX10?
added on the 2012-02-05 12:08:29 by Kabraxis Kabraxis
awesome!

rulez added on the 2012-02-05 12:16:21 by rbz rbz
kabraxis: yes, it is a dx9 feature. dx10 does not need that anymore, but enigma3 is still a dx9 engine. enigma4 is dx11, but that is in development right now. maybe somewhen we will release that, too ;)

Here's a guide to building an executable with the tool: http://www.braincontrol.org/demos/enigma_building_executable.pdf
added on the 2012-03-12 11:52:30 by payne payne
Great demotool. Tried making an executable and worked. Everything is in the tutorial.
rulez added on the 2012-03-13 08:14:59 by astearon astearon
Many thanks for that, payne! Maybe you could shed some more light on the tool's functionality.
It looks like the particles op and some WPs are disabled. If I get it right, the tool is limited to the ops used in Transplant demo. Does it make sense to compile the source in order to make it fully functional or both the source and exe are identical? Or it's just me? ;-)
Thank you.
skinnytorus: as far as I know, the particles are broken in the version. we did not use them in transplant and probably broke something during the work on it. We'll make a fixed version public soon. Also video tutorials will be done just there is no ETA for those currently
added on the 2012-03-17 18:28:45 by payne payne
oh btw, for those who have problems with the tool, there might be a way to just meet us at revision and ask ;)
added on the 2012-03-17 18:30:46 by payne payne
payne:
Great! Great! Great! As long as you are working on a fixed release, may I suggest you include something alike 'link edit' (like in wz) in order to control the camera keys from the viewport. I apologize if such feature already exists and I failed to guess how it woked... Anyway, this tool rocks!!!
im close to thumbing down - just by reading the nfo :)

anyways, im not a demotool fan - but i liked the output (transplant).
skinnytorus: no link edit feature exists (yet).

payne, hunta,
i don't know how to thank you more, guys. you have just made me happy! Long live Enigma!!! :-)))))
Totally awesome!
The tool is pretty stable and i just discovered small bugs. Compiling the studio will fail currently while stablefluids.cpp/.hpp is missing on git.

Anyways, thank you for sharing your software! It makes totally fun to play around with it =)
