I grown up on the cracktros butl I do not think saying "old school rules" is a good way here. Windowmaker, you got good skills, you could use them to produce nice stuuf with old school flavour, but trying to be more innovative.
Look at such dudes as dr.skull/vd, flt, or paleface/melon for some fresh breath... I am not saying you are not original, but you could use your knowledge to code some old school flavour stuff in a new way. As for example Anesthetic did for migthy Deviance.
