Another famous demo from Logon System! A very neat hardware effect which do a cylindrical mapping on an image, like in the screenshot (Hmm,.. and it's accompanied by really good images!)

One of the most famous hardware intros

do you know that Overflow was not a real member of Logon System? this demo should be member of The Demo 2 ; the whole team of Logon System has wanted to release a FULL demo or nothing ; OverFlow has wanted to spread his parts and it was the beginning of an internal war...

No,. but thanks for the infos! I usually don't know too much stuff about the old CPC history..

I am in contact lately via email with Overflow and I have just heard that there was a fight beetween him and Logon that old time. I think Shadow Of the Beast parallax scorller is also his own work..

Hi Overflow! still alive? do you remember me?

I saw this screen for the 1st time at Noix-de-Croco meeting in october 1991, even if it was released at the end of the year I think. For the time, this was the most technical screen ever made on CPC, with an incredible hardware trick: the main screen is splitted several times on a line! (horizontal rupture?), but in the border (we can't see it...).

Other such technical screen? Hm... Longshot from Logon System showed the way in 1990 with the Phoenix part within the demo (but: only scrollers, design is not as good as in this demo). And then Gozeur wrote Madness, in 1994, with vertical rupture: good technics, but not as nice as this screen.

Other top hardware screen? well, none is as good as this one. Or please tell me :) Anyway, there isn't any here on Pouêt.

This demo makes me dreaming too ! This is the only demo with RVI (hardware technics with 7 splittings in the border to address ALL (almost !) screen memory on every line), 10 years ago but no body release such a technical demo !
You're still the best hardware coder OVF !

This demo was released in 1991 but it's always on top (except the graphics who feel obsolete now ;)

Inserting files in DSK is a pain in the ass and I prefer DSK. Here I have converted it. http://optimus.demoscene.gr/cpcscene/demos/1991/s&koh.zip

Also here my old CPC site that has to be updated since ages and has reviews/screenshots and downloads of 50 good CPC demos and a big demolist whith all CPC demos I convreted in DSK format

Not my favorite gfx (maybe a good one for the 90's), but a good technical performance.

Awesome mastery of CRTC magic. This blew my mind when I first saw it (at the Euromeeting 1 iirc).

ps. @BSC not writing in 2000: what were you doing?
