This is how belgium fucks up your VGA registers! this kind of hardware acceleration rules!!!! ;)
i loved it!
we learned how to code raster effects from this intro :)

this was so cool back then....
DAMN!...my fisrt non-crack demoscene production seen...even before second reality!!! :D cool feelings with this
don't forget to brush your tooth bande de slaches!!!
:)
my fave bbstro of alltime!!! :))
Easily the very best copper emulation for PC/VGA EVER. (Which is especially amazing given that the Adlib player doesn't screw up the frame). My utmost high respect.
4EVER beuty! .....
Work 50% on DosBox 0.63
Work 50% on DosBox 0.63
Yep, this was also very cool.
<3
WOW! I guess I won't be able to run this in Dosbox or my current PC. My 386 will be back soon ;)
<3
i think this was actually one of the first pc prods that positively surprised me. (because let's face it, the pc scene sucked for a long while :) jch's adlib conversion of drax's "crooner" is also better than the original.
Oh yes, this ruled <3
sweet
Great work! Nicely done, it doesn't take too much eye to see how it's all done. But the execution is still very nice.
I have to see this!
turn up the bass!
So cool, must loop music, loop music, ...
haha!
great
fantastic. and as reed said, jch's adlib conversion of drax's "crooner" is better than the original
Someone could take a video with a camera or something? :)
VGA register tweaking is cool. Too bad this doesn't work that well in DosBox. I'll have to run it on my Win2k puter at home.
i've never seen this one in action, but it sure as hell reminds me a lot of the dozens of totally similar intros on atari/amiga that have been boring me mindless since the 80s...
wat?
holy crap, works 100% in dosbox 0.73! make sure machine=vgaonly. great adlib conversion, and mindboggling vga hardware tricks. i don't think i've seen any other standard vga demo with this resolution and color range - yay fake-copper scanline tricks!
Pretty kewl
Come on, that checkerboard doesn't even zoom:)
sick stuff!
the music was so übercool and the raster effects where bloody awesome
o_O
Super effects! Also a big thumb for making my XP crash hard! :D
pretty cool but requ. a 386
Works on Dosbox perfectly. Great adlib music and highres raster effects.
I made a Youtube from a real machine
(386DX-40 / ET4000 / SB16 with OPL3)

VERY cool copper VGA tricky bbstro. Nice with Trident TVGA9000c (and doesn`t lag :) and S3 (with jerking scrolly), but fucks up on Cirrus Logic card :)). Nice adlib music (and doesn`t blow up effects, since it runs at VBI). Instant thumb up!
nice Adlib tune and pretty Kefrenbars(doesn't work on DosBox)
Was too colorfull, too Atarish for me. But very nice thou =)
I will not work under DosBOX cause it is tweaked. Sooo tweaked that sometimes a decend video card was not displaying the routines propelry.
Indeed S TRIO had some problems with this one.

As mentioned above, it works fine in DOSBox. In the conf file, set machine=vgaonly (was "demovga" in v0.73).
Used to do a lot of this back in the day... Splitscreen, start address, color cycling, vertical stretch and hblank-synced raster color in the middle, I guess.
every file on inernets should have this packed together
That was unexpected!
The screenshot looks intense, but yeah just run the thing - *everything* is in motion!
Been a while since a one-screener left me speechless. :)

This is one of my all-time favorite intros!
Big part of the feeling is made by the cool ad lib music, unfortunately the GBA version didn't replicate that...
Nice to see nowadays this can be made run well also in DOSBox.

there's no limit
AMIIIGGGGAAAHHHH. Oh, wait. :) This is really cool indeed, rocks!
Dies on my Toshiba 720CDT after the intro screen :(
Yes. I remember this!
No idea how this arrived to my little town inside floppy of Doom1 episode shareware If I'm not mistaken.
This was a true revelation to me. Inspired to code graphic stuff on the 486DX2/Trident VGA, and go on further!!
Now taking a look at the now available source code, can understand certain things, totally hidden to me, back to the mid 90's.
THANKS! a lot, this little intro changed my life!
