damn, this is a great idea. Instead of making some shitty executables, that will only ever run on a platform you don't happen to own, and stop working when the next os is released, and are totally limited by hardware, we can just make open office presentations!

Yep, Numedia Cyclops already made an OpenOffice Impress demo back in 2003, albeit a final version was never released because the video recording bugged so heavily. Which is a shame because it was way better than this one. :-P

Somehow, it freezes my computer when I tried to actually play the presentation, every single time, as soon as I start it. Bah.
Now, I say this as a proud Linux user, but OpenOffice.Org Impress is absolutely horrible. Awful memory usage, awful CPU usage, propensity to hang the system completely... all with a feature set barely comparable to Microsoft Powerpoint.
What you've done with this is make a demo that pushes the system so far it won't even run, and for that you get a thumb.
