I don't know what to say. I really don't. It's colourful, trippy, contains totally unexpected twists and I don't know if I love it or hate it. So here's your thumb :)

Nothing but a black screen here...

I inmiddiatly got a love/hate affair with this intro to. Many scenes in it.
f0x & lost soul intro's can be so much more
(take more time than 10 days to make an intro) And compete on bp08 you will win for sure :)
rulez added on the 2007-08-26 19:44:19 by magic magic
Exactly what Preacher said. ;) The thumb is for the unexpected twists.

Great. One of the best 64kb of year so far... it just needs a better direction. The music sounds like good old streets of rage chip funk!

You guys really love blur, don't you?

is it just me or does it jitter on other configs too?

This was technically very impressive and featured shitloads of content! Good job!

Just to inform you: The Scene with the matches shown in the screenshot looks different on my machine (8600GTS + newest Forceware!): the "eye" is missing - theres just flames in the background. Other scenes looked as if some elements were missing as well... maybe fixed in the final?? :-)

ending was cool, but overall prod is a piggie.

0. for understand intro sense, please watch Georgy Danelia's film called "Kin-Dza-Dza"
1. i try fix intro when i found machine shows it with same bugs
2. this intro is unplanned product, inspired by strange mind impulse...
3. in any case this is last intro on my old buggy engine

Blame me, but I've not watched "Kin-Dza-Dza", though I've recognized the flying device from there.
This one and from UNC are a great step ahead. Love both. Great level of texture work.
Last scene is protracted, don't know why you needed that.

Thanks for saving Russian scene ;)

don't like the music. AT ALL. visuals are ok, but the end is damn abrupt and i definitely didn't get the point. some parts also seem a lot slower than they should be (seems to be the ones including a radial blur layer). piggy overall.

black screen on windows vista using nvidia gforce 6610 in both windowed and fullscreen config.

works here on Vista (Intel Core 2 Duo notebook 2GHz, 2GB RAM, GeForce 8600), but shows the same error with the matches scene from the screenshots.

About the intro: tons of content. Respect for that! Music is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Overall I don't know if I really like it or not, but the positive feelings overweight.

Very random...it's great one minute, not so good the next, but really suffers from terrible direction and no design.

Just a piggy for this one.

Sadly it's the Russian style, where you take nice content and postprocess it to the point where it looks like crap.
added on the 2007-08-27 16:02:49 by zoom zoom
Hmmm... Music is very inconsistent. Some nice scenes though. Likes the colours in a few scenes - esp the last one. Cool chopper-thing. Very slow on my GF7900 (almost slideshow). Piggy for you :-)
added on the 2007-08-27 16:43:35 by lemmus lemmus
First of all I very much appreciate the letterbox format and the colour scheme. The tune (in its style) sounds a bit misplaced, hence does not harmonise that well with the visuals.
BUT finally there's a prod that provides the matches Ozone searched for since eons in Smokebomb ;D

Like it as a whole and it shows a lot of potential yet unrevealed.
rulez added on the 2007-08-27 16:56:32 by d0DgE d0DgE
Zoom just hit the nail on the head.
Also, it was waaay to slow for the recommended specs to be true. Good effort tho, i'm glad to see modern eastern-european scene getting closer to the decent level step by step.

awesome amount of content
added on the 2007-08-28 00:04:47 by Teehase Teehase
you always have a very fitting music, effects and a very own style. a lot of blurred stuff and wierd colors. neverteheless, I like this stuff. also feels oldskool but I can't really explain why. perhaps the music.
rulez added on the 2007-08-28 05:54:10 by seρρjο seρρjο
underneath the postprocessing (and eye-gougingly bad radial blur) there might be some good content struggling to get out of this - but it's hard to tell, because of the layers of crap on top. you just cant tell if the stuff underneath is good or it actually needs to be hidden away. and the music was about 10 years behind the times in terms of sound quality.

it makes it so incredibly frustrating to watch, because you can sense the potential.
how about some aa for starters? :)

yay for experimental <ps2.0 64k! Even if the music is a bit sad at times, I still think the idea is awesome.. good on you for following it through!
rulez added on the 2007-08-28 13:47:36 by Gaia Gaia
Music is really 10 years outdated in terms of technology: it is a pure XM with 8 bit samples. I have only 2 days to compose it (no time to learn f0x's synthesizer) and 1 day to slice, cut, raze and glue the parts according to scenario logic instead of musical logic.
Anyway, I like one pattern which reminds me Groo's sound :)

ps. nvidia bug fixed (fuck to new driver writers, primitives with normall 0,0,0 doesn't rendered as useally). finalversion in progress.

Quality is much improved from the last one I think, I liked pretty much all of it.. except for the total lack of any point to it. It's just random stuff thrown together again. Arrrghhh, next time plan it and give it some kind of point, so it rules properly instead of just a bit!

added on the 2007-08-31 13:55:19 by f0x f0x
Errr... I'm sorry to report this, but the final still diplays most of the scenes wrong (eg. the "eye" is still missing etc.) on a 8600GTS/XP. This might be an issue the used engine has with Direct X cards, because I got some problems with other plasticator demos as well...

Anyway, kudos for taking the time and doing a final.
