the intro needs at least directx 9.0c december 2006 update (most recent update is april 2007), or to be precise it needs the d3dx9_32.dll.
and it needs a pixelshader 2.0 capable graphics card.

For all that have the crashing-problem: Exit the ATI-Tray-tools!
This or maybe some other Programs are using the space that is needed by this intro.
Quiting ATI-Tray-Tools and the problem was solved for me... I know that this Program is causing some errors in games (Lineage2 for example), too.

crashes here.. i tried to exit the ATI tray tool but your trick didn't work here.. too bad.
I'm using winXP SP2, ati radeon mobility x1600, and i have the latest directx update.
