nice issue :)
On first impressions, this looks excellent. Featuring Bridgeclaw`s usual high quality graphics, a number of great tracks and at a glance a good scene based content! Good work, keep it up and don`t listen to any sheep who down vote and follow the little group of knobs such as the above.
(sorry kenet you posted in between my post, that comment wasn`t aimed at yourself) :)
Nice issue, some nice articles and good music.
It contains white christian propaganda, WTF!
darkus: It seems like they haven't learned anything from Hugi #29. Just look at "Quotes from the demoscene" and you might understand tmb's vote.
Music is good, but since it's a diskmag I'll check some more content before I give my thumb.

Let's have sex all together to celebrat
Seems decent, I'll read it more throughly later. The music is fantastc though, especially the Buzzer & Mice-tune.
i quote larstiq:
"at least it releases more frequently than sceen"
"at least it releases more frequently than sceen"
hires or not.. it's the same pic again and again.. so-so articles (got bored after 10 minutes skimming thru the texts, must admit that i read fast).. Magic's FR related articles are terribly fanboy. other than that, it's okish.
so.. what tmb said!
so.. what tmb said!
FOR NOD PISSING EVERYBODYZ OF THIS TIMEZ
All the non-core-member articles are decent (KeyJ, you're a maniac :), Magic still doesn't know how to do a proper interview, Adok still doesn't have a sense of humour (and there's no ä in Ümlaüt), and the mag still fails to credit Slengpung for 90% of its pictorial.
All in all, a disappointment for its size.

nice to see hugi back on track.
ogg power
Oh yeah, v4nl4me, slap cock.
Hugi is definately improving again. The graphics and music in this issue rule and also content-wise it's getting more interesting again.
I agree though that the TMB quotes in the quote section were pretty pathetic, please leave your personal vendettas out of the mag.
It still needs more support from the demoscene though because too many articles are still written by Adok & Magic themselves or simply republished website articles.

I like. Good job.
nice music but ehh
It looks very nice. Good music, nicely drawn gfx (but whats the connection between chicks and dismkags?) and much text.
most boring diskmag .. with adok,ep,magic...
some stuff good, some bad
well nice music, nice gfx - some articles could have been a little bit "sharper". ;) so my thumb for this mag.
Nice tunes and gfx ;) Some interesting stuff and some not so interesting stuff. I liked it enough for a thumb.
God bless Hugi.
Anyway, almost 31 Mbytes are a bit too much...

Tons of good stuff in it. Oh and thanks to the author of the article about ifs fractals. Finally a good tutorial to explain me how they actually work instead of just giving me the equations. Great!
thumb up for plazma diskmag #1 - #2 review.
nice stuff and issue.
and nice music.
and nice music.
nice
again a great issue with good articles and music. i simply love the noogman logo at the end. wow.
but 31 mb is too big....
but 31 mb is too big....
hugi is getting better
Nice!! :D Cool Tunes!
convoluted and outdated.
also, hearsay != scoops, magic.
also, hearsay != scoops, magic.
presentation has improved (a bit), but the articles still by and large blow - at least the ones by magic or adok, which unfortunately make up most of the magazine.
it still seems in desperate need of quality control and editors which actually understand their subject matter.

ep
... and people need to stop judging a magazine by the background picture and musics ...
I didn`t see any ep article(s), so i had to thumb it up :)
@Adok : I'm not sure if I should say thanks for reviewing < Plazma Diskmag > or not. Because you almost miswrote every subject in every aspect.
1. Iif you would have checked the Resident's web site you would also have seen that Mad becomes Decipher after the first issue, which is me.
2. They don't speak Turkish in Azerbaijan, well yeah it's damn similar to Turkish but no they don't speak Turkish (Turkish as in the Turkish of The Republic of Turkey)
3. There's no member who's called < Plexi > in Resident Demogroup. Instead we have Flexi. Did you mention him Addokk?
4. < Plazma > is not a production of < Resident > it's a production of < Turkish Demoscene >!
5. Lastly, if you are not that < fluent > in understanding Turkish, please do not write any single word about the content. Turkish, or Hungarian, or Finnish or god damn Uralic languages are not compatible with English as you have said, and it's impossible for one to translate without even very basic knowledge of Turkish.
So, thanks for reviewing Plazma, but next time please do more research on what you're going to write. And sorry our graphics are not high-res like Hugi, and we don't want that fucking blurry colors because of jpeg compression. This doesn't mean we're idiots and we don't know how to convert bitmaps to jpeg but instead this means we do care about our pixel-art graphics and the work of our graphicians. Don't get me wrong, this is just a constructive criticism.

Some of the articles were good, but stuff like copying-and-pasting quotes from Pouet and calling it an article, I'm not sure.
Also, there are other places for poor poetry and haiku.
I liked some of the interviews, though. The in-depth ones, anyway. You know, where the writer actually responds to answers from the interviewee. That sort of thing.

some interesting articles and interviews included. thanks!
<3
i liked it :)
improve quality of interview, you are not interviewing celebrity. at least i like interviews where questioner is not robot asking same questions from everybody.
dont touch my volume controls, please
Lovely graphics and music. And a good read as well...
""Adok is still living with his parents" - one of the few interesting lines.
i got bored

good
Very good issue! I can see a lot of time and research has gone into it and the result is very professional. Nice music too.
But the title pic steals the show! It's superb and the making of article was a very nice addition!
Oh, and Bridgeclaw's girlfriend is hot! :)

why so many people in here are complaining ?, this is why the scene is dying....
Everybody complain Hugi work every he release a new issue !!!
It is very disappointing to see this, Hugi has great articles, good feedback of the parties, interviews...tech data....why so manny negativities ?
This is why there are no more disks mags!!!
Saddly i see more and more people leaving the scene....no more gratification.....just empty words, shame on you!!!!!!
If you do not like, try make it better!!!!
Hugi, i Really Like Hugi33, Great Work, i just wish that you continue doing this amazing work :)
Sorry my English...I'm Portuguese..."
"È lamentável que a scene em portugal seja apenas residual....."

amiga4ever aka ep
Some very neat graphics, songs and articles in this issue, keep it up!
good
amiga4ever: i wrote an article, can i say it sucks then?
tu é que és residual. aparece aos eventos que a gente mostra-te o que é residual..
Where can I get Plazma btw? I haven't found it here on Pouet. Are the articles in it in English?
Adok & Magic - congratulations, very good work! Good gfx, msx and many good articles, thx :)
I like this new Hugi direction, this is one of the best recent issues. Polaris, thanks for the nice printed Hugi CD :)
optimus: check your yahoo mail.
well it's ok
few articles interrested me in the end
few articles interrested me in the end
Well what can i say...the truth hurts no ?
i'm 34...and as you can see i do not post in here...for a long time....
But that does not mean ....i don't see the scene development...
I remember the good old days...when Scene groups like Alcatraz - odyssey, phenomena - enigma, Future crew - second reality ... and Zine shined...
When Pc mags come along Hugi/Adok, Ep ,and magic, never was accepted by many, and today...i see the same....
i like HUGI, if you don't...it is your problem...not mine, what i regret...is that there are so many of you...
I just hope Hugi/Adok never stops releasing mags...
For Portuguese people.... please post in English ok ?
"Fiz so um pequeno comentário..Sou do tempo da Amiga Centre....das copy parties..e BBS a 9600bps em 1989...se voçes se lembram de alguma produção portuguesa....ate hoje....eu não!!! festas da treta...de counterstrike e lans....não e comigo:) "

I'm really enjoying this one - even without getting to the tech articles yet. Graphics are very eye pleasing indeed. Thanks for all the hard work.
very g00d issue...
i liked it, good work dudes! and keep em comming please
superb issue! start music is absolutely great!
a quick short look showed quite some potentially interesting articles. i'll have a closer look later. good to see another issue! as for the size: too big! and dear magic, pain issue 50 or something had mp3 tracks in there too. and we managed to keep it at 10 mb :-D
A good set of articles. Nice to have it on CD at Blockparty.
Bridgeclaw's masterpiece is outstanding, music is nice and content is mildly interesting :)
good work hugi team (without ep).
good work hugi team (without ep).
I have the feeling that this new format, mp3, could become quite popular, it could even be the future!
You Hugi guys are sooo next gen!!!
You Hugi guys are sooo next gen!!!
keops: please dont troll, they might think you're beeing serious :)
Nice issue
ps: I have no idea what you're talking about, mp3 is the future, stop living in the past already! :)
nice content!
That HTML version was a huge [pun intended] mistake. Being able to compare Hugi's articles to basically "any other written stuff" in the same environment reveals one thing:
Almost all articles are too short and in their essence utterly shallow and meaningless.
What's a "demo review" worth if its only content is (exaggerated) "they got some cubes, and then a tunnel. overall i like it"? Eg. Golem, Arise is a demo that deserves way more words on the techniques used (rendering as well as direction), let alone the duality between the creature/god approach and what is essentially the realtime 3D version of a snapshot of an aptly named scientific experiment. All things you could have found out with a little research.
Or "politics in demos". Synopsis of article: "yes, there are sometimes politics in demos. Here, take this pouet URL list, i'm too lazy to think about crap like this now". Great.
Same with your Debris/SuicideBarbie "discussion". Damn. Simply reiterating some of the better arguments made in the respective threads on this very website would have been 100 times more in-depth than your "uh, yeah, look, a screenshot, see, but doesn't matter anyway" 'analysis'.
Of course there's the one or other article that's at least TRYING to give some information to the reader and doesn't look like it was done by a 16 year old living the urge to tell the world all of his totally important realizations about the universe (each five lines long). But those are in a scarce minority.
In the whole mag feels like a constant concatenation of Crest's infamous "they had a hall and stuff, and there were compos, but in the end it's most important which trains i took to get there" party non-reports. Which is not good. At all.

MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, referred to as MP3, is a NEW popular digital audio encoding format. It uses a lossy compression algorithm that is designed to greatly reduce the amount of data required to represent the audio recording, yet still sound like a faithful reproduction of the original uncompressed audio to most listeners
TEH FUTARE IS NOW!!! THANK YOU HUGI!
TEH FUTARE IS NOW!!! THANK YOU HUGI!
thanks kb for writing out what i had in mind. nevertheless, this hugi is better than quite some past issues.
agree with kb. also ep interview with machinae supremacy is childlish. he continues to write in same childlish style. anyway boring, but i dont give thumb down. i encourage to see criticism here and past issues and to do something to fix it.
It's pretty good
i think it's good enough though there is some really old news in there. there are some valuable articles in there and is also some bollocks. benefit of the doubt: thumb.
It's released! Yay!
I wish I could take my thumb back. I recently checked all the articles out instead of two of them when I thumbed this up. This is shit.
Both adok and magic aren't even trying to make themselves better as 'journalists'. Most of the articles are minimal and poorly made like for example the darkbasic "tutorials". No offense for the writer but he really should improve his coding and/or writing skills.
I'm hoping adok and magic would spend more time with the mag. This has potential and ok ideas but you guys destroy everything good in it. It's not a quest for asking as many people as possible to write large quantities of articles, it's about getting the GOOD articles.
...and I second kb.

for the girl
I see people here complaining the size of the mag...
what do you want....Lower HQ pictures??? lower Sound Bitrate ???
Come on people.... don't let Hugi34 be Crunched by the music or pictures.....
Even if it gets...35-40MB!!
The mag is in 1024*768 and we are in 2007!!!..
The 2.400bps modems are dead....!!!
Long live the Cable :)

"amiga4ever" has finally given up the resistance and accepted pc mentality! rejoice!
make it BIGGER!
havoc....i need my PC to run the WinUAE....:)
Optimus: You're welcome ;)
nice new issue good job thanks !
so boring and so bad
uninteresting articles
Another nice Hugi issue worth a loooooong night of reading (I liked the literature part best). Can´t really feel the mp3 power since tracker powered hugis sounded at least equally good. Siateks track ruled nevertheless =)
boring...

Changed your mind, eh?
thumb was mistake. it wasn't mean to give because i think they can improve
Finally some easy to use source code for Pure Basic for saved-game editing - been far too re-learn Windows coding (and too lazy) in order to convert my old Atari GFA code across :) Rest of the magazine good too.
Great diskmag :D
nice one
