This intro requires a ps 3.0 card and d3dx9_24.dll. Let me know if you have both and it still crashes.
Ok, so mistery unveiled: I have a radeon 9700... from the screenshot seems quite nice tho.
ahh, i upgraded just in time. :) this is great for 1k.. the effect keeps gradually changing so it's hard to tell if it ever loops.

Just let it run for more than a minute or two. From the plasma curve patterns it goes to a screen similar to lattice, then something that looks like a landscape than some other cool patterns and then back! Maybe it's just the same algorithmical concept but way cool for 1k!!!

The effect looks a bit recycled from your latest 4k intro but this is really good anyway.
There's so much more possibilities with shader 3.0 gfxcards (no 64 instructions limits / vertex texturing yum yum, etc.). Now all i have to do is to buy such card ;D.
Btw, what did you modify in crinkler ? Did you just remove the hashes slots only (obviously 1k fx won't need them) ?
