Really nice one. I didn't like the Shadow of the Beast remix that much, but Rise Up sure made up for that! o/

27 megs for what I consider (personal taste) as way inferior versions of the original tunes... waste of hard drive and bandwidth.

I downloaded it as soon as I saw the list of tunes (great selection), but seriously I could not listen to each track for more that 2 minutes without feeling an irrestible urge to skip to next track.

Definitively not looking for Volume 2

nice!

@Dbug. lmfao!!! Please watch your website and your ugly board with MySQL Errors! THEN u'll see where's the waste of hard drive and bandwidth... noob.

speed0r: hahahaha, imho DBUG is moe 31337 than 90% of pouet.net users... Try to code a killer demo on Oric like him before showing your lameness here.
added on the 2006-02-14 18:35:34 by rez rez
yeah rez... i don't need to create so lamer demos... i love the new stuff i see here. it's nice music and nice gfx but everyone here can make much criticism about those stuff... but why ??? Is it envy ?? =)
added on the 2006-02-14 22:41:51 by Speed0r Speed0r
Speedor: I don't see in which way my website (that I don't advertise on pouet for what I know) forbid me to make comments about this particular production. Concerning MySQL Errors, well feel free to informat PhpBB.org then, I didn't change any single line of the board, so these MySQL errors are not mine.

Now if you want details about my critics, no it's not 'envy'. I actually like the originals, I think the replay shell is nice looking, and no doubt the quality of the sound if perfect.

I just think that these remixes are totaly uninspired and way less interesting than the originals, with perhaps an exception for 'Rise Up' that kind of lives up to the expectations. For the remaining ones, well I prefer the originals that I have been listening for years.

And feel free to post critics about my demos, if it contains constructive elements I will probably take them into consideration for my next productions.
added on the 2006-02-14 22:52:38 by Dbug Dbug
but why is it so big ? i though that .sid was small sized. even if u have a 10 Mb Sidplayer library where are lost the others 16 Mb ? i doubt the gfx need more than 200kb ...

hm... i only want add a comment... (i don't want selfvoting)

@MinZ...: This Sounds are 100% new reproduced on a Sequenzer. It's not Mod file or something else... You are right... There are 5 Mp3 Songs inside the exe...
rulez added on the 2006-02-15 00:13:19 by .. ..
Dbug... Thank you for your message here. I think you can gimme critics if u want... No problem for me. Maybe next time a little bit constructiveer than now because the taste is not a critic... I can watch all your releases and give downvote because the colour of the outline of your fonts are not compatible with the ring of my iris... ok don't get childish now... ty anyway for your comment and gl...

double thumb up for
Rise up ;))))
rulez added on the 2006-02-15 02:17:42 by -olli- -olli-
Daxx: You should ask to the coder that produce the shell to take example on Variform remixes, and instead of putting all the songs in one big exe, to actually get them in a subfolder, with adequate ID tags and even like them a winamp playlist.

In the same way that I didn't used (well I launched it once and it crashed halfway) the music player of Variform, I think that (insert your favorite multimedia player name here) is more practical to listen to music, and would have the additional benefit to allow people that do not have window to actually listen to the tracks.

hm... i only want add a comment... (i don't want selfvoting)

second:

i do not like the remix (too much far from the original for my oldskool musical tastes)

third:

why i have to type on the keyboard to select song when you have a BIG graphical interface ? mouse ? click ? button ?
sucks added on the 2006-02-15 19:10:19 by rez rez
DBug:
Next Release will be done with Subfolders then. cheers... :-)

rez:
Thanks for your comment... Some people like click on keyboard, other like click with mouse. We want do it with Keyboard... thanks and good luck.

@all others. Thanks for your votes. Next Release will comming soon to you... :-)
added on the 2006-02-15 21:36:01 by .. ..
daxxTRS: it's just a vote because i don't like too much the music, it's not a "hey you suxx0r l4m4h" thumb down...

the music disk itself is well done (perhaps a little bit big ?), i just want to point out that i don't like too much the music, i do not want to troll or to flame your prod =)
added on the 2006-02-16 00:26:24 by rez rez
rez: i did'nt believe that u'll try to flame me :-) i like critcs... next time we'll try to make the size a bit smaller then...

cheers.

Music is good, of course. But... Age of MP3 musicdisks already here, you think? Why don't you made DVD-like animated menu then?.. It's easy to combine MP3s with oldschool shell, but result is... hmm...

nice logo but i dont like the interface, and i dont like the remixes either, despite the use of panflute

I didn't like a couple songs, but the interface looks nice, simple to use, and ...

I'm glad to see this huge prod bundled into one executable. Keep it up.

I can't stop listening to track 2. It's really good.

BTW, if you press [2], [Space] together, you'll get the track to double-play overlay. Cool echo effect.

rulez added on the 2006-02-24 19:41:35 by bladerunner bladerunner
Well, I think the original versions of the remixed tunes here are much better. Still, it is not a bad musicdisk.
