Very average. Simple numedia effects and a monotonic tune. Also surprisingly slow (especially since it's running on hardware).

rtt IS slow, but not THAT slow, and I don't see why this intro would need it anyway (for that one 100% reflective cube? the standard mirroring algo would work perfectly and probably be faster too).

What crappy systems do you guys have? I get *good* performance with my geforce2mx card.
i like this intro alot. :) the only thing that bothers me is the re-use of effects - doesn't suit this intro (or any production for that matter). it's better to do one kickass thing after another than to re-do stuff (like the haujobb-demo from dialogos01 - don't get me wrong, it's nice and all, but you don't show the same stuff over and over again :) ..but this intro rocks. :)

the difference between these kind of demos/intros here and 3d flyby ones is that they're non-objective. 3d flyby demos show concrete everydaylife objects, adapted from reality.
ryg: read the manifesto from cncd - it should give you a hint (even though cncd doesn't comply to their own manifesto).
yes, it pretty much hinted me at the fact that cncd sometimes wanna have fun looking at you shouting too :)
lator, render to texture is slow because the textures aren't swizzled in the videocard's memory resulting in lots of caching problems (=slow rendering) and switching rendertargets is slower than it should be as well.

It all depends on what's happening on the screen, how much 'alive' it is... This intro's dynamic enough to make things interesting and take it above a regular static flyby. And besides, the music owns :)

and no it wasnt.. it was the drivers fault.. just switched to latest detonator and it runs in high framerate on my tnt2 ..
(i have never lost many fps when i had 2 rendering targets per frame... however he renders the scene 2 times.. its not the render2texture problem)

i just asked why do these 2 songs sound same... xm vs. mp3, forgett it... was not my point of view... so, if you check them both, they r very similar !!! you cant tell me that they dont have the same beat, background... so, i cant believe that 2 musicians have had the same ideas for a song... i think they both "ripped" the same song... so what ? i only wanted to know what song...
