Made school.
I listened to this again today, and I still enjoy it so much. The uplifting chords and catchy sax lines in Velo Matrix, the Quincy vibes, cute bells and intriguing melodies in Lovefunk, the laid-back smooth jazz atmosphere of Time for Loving, and that deliciously unexpected chord change in Je L'ai Deja Vu... I love how effortless and unforced the melodies feel, even though most of the time they use just 1 channel.
Funny thing is, I remember how expensive and sophisticated these arrangements sounded to me back in the day. Then, just a few years later, they started to feel dated and dry, as more and more musicians began experimenting with realistic instruments and newer sounds. And now somehow they sound fresh again. :)
