- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Alien Apparat 80%
- Guys!
Thanks for all nice words, comments and critics. I'm really, really glad that this demo is so well recieved. I coded it while still learning Amiga HW tricks and limitations.
On the Slack chat with my SHAPE group mates I stated clearly:
"No coding skills were involved in this demo", and I mean it.
There's no code pr0n and probably never will be. The kind of demos I want to do on Amiga is like this:
A lot of GFX, simple f/x that put together with gfx tell a simple (or not) story.
More like oldschool game cut-scenes than proper hardcore demos. I actually started to learn code just to code my own slideshow.
But still I'm glad this demo was fun to watch for you. It was hell of a lot of fun to "code" and joy of learning the HW specs of Amiga. (remember Carrion=C64 gfx guy ;) ) there always will be more gfx than code.
KK I'm talking to you! ;) Your demo was... Mega! My is only a gfx plus some glue-code.
Most of the demo was coded using BlitzBasic (I started a thread on EAB if you are curious. Some source code will be unveiled there) hence the problems with memory management. the OCS version needs serious rethink and more time for me to finish it than I thought.
now...
I think there will be more demos from me on Amiga but when it will come it's hard to say. There's Silly Venture - Atari Mekka also in Gdansk/Poland in 2 months. It will be probably my debut at Atari party. (Gray this one is for you!)
Then C64's X'18 next year...
Oh and I still have this C+4 demo to do with Murphy/Exceed (I remember!)
Till then you can check out my blog for the AA gfx at:

guys, thanx for your kind words. I haven't expected such a warm welcome on the Amiga damascene ;).
This is definitely not my final word. I'm not sure if I'll be ready for Revision with next production but who knows...
Big thanks to AceMan for kool soundtrack too
@nemoan
I just checked it on my A1200 and it works well. but 100% version is still to come so I'll do more intense tests too to make sure it works on real hardware as intended.
btw: more information about the demo coding process and gfx creation process with work stages at my blog at: http://retronavigator.com - isokadded on the 2015-10-19 17:56:03

I love the fact that it's so short. Thanks to that fact the demo has a nice pace and feels good.
