Fantastic fresh demo! I really dig this! :)

Great production. :) Graphics are visibly better than coded effects, but it's a good start and you are on a really good way to become an unbeatable combo of good graphician, designer and coder at the same time.

Great demo with nice music!! Recognizable Carrion style. I really like it, as always. AceMan's music roxxx and fits really well too.

Very good demo and the tunnel-scenes are fantastic. Also the music is very good. Please make the 100%-version work on normal A500-machines (512kb Fast+512kb Chip) and not only on machines with 1MB chip.

Good and solid demo (one of my favorites in the compo). Lots of cool graphics, very nice design and colors. Respect for the progress! I'm waiting for the final version.

Great soundtrack, visuals are good too. Feels a little run of mills effects show but the colour choices and graphics hold it up well.

Thanks for all nice words, comments and critics. I'm really, really glad that this demo is so well recieved. I coded it while still learning Amiga HW tricks and limitations.
On the Slack chat with my SHAPE group mates I stated clearly:
"No coding skills were involved in this demo", and I mean it.
There's no code pr0n and probably never will be. The kind of demos I want to do on Amiga is like this:
A lot of GFX, simple f/x that put together with gfx tell a simple (or not) story.
More like oldschool game cut-scenes than proper hardcore demos. I actually started to learn code just to code my own slideshow.
But still I'm glad this demo was fun to watch for you. It was hell of a lot of fun to "code" and joy of learning the HW specs of Amiga. (remember Carrion=C64 gfx guy ;) ) there always will be more gfx than code.

KK I'm talking to you! ;) Your demo was... Mega! My is only a gfx plus some glue-code.

Most of the demo was coded using BlitzBasic (I started a thread on EAB if you are curious. Some source code will be unveiled there) hence the problems with memory management. the OCS version needs serious rethink and more time for me to finish it than I thought.

I think there will be more demos from me on Amiga but when it will come it's hard to say. There's Silly Venture - Atari Mekka also in Gdansk/Poland in 2 months. It will be probably my debut at Atari party. (Gray this one is for you!)
Then C64's X'18 next year...
Oh and I still have this C+4 demo to do with Murphy/Exceed (I remember!)

Till then you can check out my blog for the AA gfx at:
http://retronavigator.com/post/166674089098/there-catch-my-latest-pixels-from-my -newest-amiga
or some more info regarding the Blitz code in my demo

Not very spectacular effects but a good flow with cool music. Real hardware rulez! I ran it on my A1200/030/2MB/4MB and it worked fine. The effects looked better than on YouTube.

bit dull at some points but over-all great design

code is a ok... fade out with running effect would have been nice ;)

Pretty cool. Somewhat out of the box design for ECS stuff and the music was fun enough.

Awesome graphics, sound, timing and motion; even when the effects were kind of simple. Best stretch was from title pic to tunnel. Loved it!
rulez added on the 2017-11-10 09:37:56 by noname noname
Agree about effects being simple, but not bad for someone learning the machine. The sound, graphics and how they flow together are thumbworthy too :)

Some good parts, and some average. Misplaced flashing drags it down.

What they've said about graphics!

Excellent palettes; looks like an AGA demo for me. A subtle humor, good sync and a typical Aceman'ish bouncy tune. The effects are simple, but one can see a truly big progress that Carrion has made since Teapot Genie. And the textured cube was more than decent!

Nice tune and title picture. The effects are no spectacular (rotating cubes are very unnatural). Average stuff.
