- I like how this spends 6 bytes properly setting video and address without any hacks, and has just 10 bytes left to do the rest! Interesting that it inits all chars to 20h/space instead of 0. From there, it's a brilliant one-instruction sound routine and no-instruction draw routine (just changing chars in text RAM) for perfect audio/video sync. The "free" green text using an emulator setting feels a little cheaty :), but even gray would still be great.

- Thumb up for coming to Revision with your first prod in many years! Sweet and simple. As an Apple II Logo user in school, I got the reference. Plus I can't say no to design arrows. BTW MS Defender reports a trojan, but I assume it just got confused by the Squishy cruncher.

- minebrandon: works fine here in DOSBox-X. Config screen popped up, I set the CPU to 486DX and did Ctrl-Q to save/quit, and it ran. Check the nfo to see if you need to change your config or run with one of the parameters, but it worked for me even with ems=true.

- Great demonstration of the concept! The subpixels seem to only be horizontal but it still looks very nice, especially with thick monochrome lines and curves. Kudos for trying subpixel dots as well though. The music is great. I'll have to try it on my DS at some point.

- Not sure if it really deserved to win the compo, but the code in the writeup was very interesting (and I'm curious what Hellmood's 1b save is :). Clever trick with the segment setting, so it looks like some more great 16/32b textmode intros should be on the way!
