  Fun fact: This brings back special memories. On the Atari 8-bit, the equivalent of the HAM mode is the GTIA mode, and 2^5 years back, I also used disabled DMA on missiles to overlay the transition area in Visdom II - those were the days, ...., ... nah, they're now obviously:-).
