• the excessive layering and blending sometimes hides the effects away a bit too much, but I guess that's just sunflower-style. and showing off fill-rate was still cool back in '00.

  IMO it totally shocked the competition in late '94 - so much that basically the whole amiga demoscene went down the drain in early 95. There just wasn't much left to be shown to top it in the league of classic hardware-effects-based demos. Late '95 and '96 things recovered a bit with c2p-based demos like ZiF/Tint/The Gate.
