Please send your comments on that Space article both to its author, Black Knight, and me! Also tell me if you want to have it published in the next Hugi issue. - isokadded on the 2004-08-08 22:09:04
- diskmag Windows Hugi Special Edition #1: Coding Digest by Hugi [web]
- eddi: Maybe I should translate the (German) coding articles from Hugi #1 - #10 to English? However, most of them are about beginner topics.

- diskmag Windows Hugi Special Edition #1: Coding Digest by Hugi [web]
- "Hugi Special Edition #1: Coding Digest" contains all programming-related articles from Hugi issues 11 to 27. This enables you to retrieve information on a particular topic very fast. While the Hugi Index that has already been available for a longer time has only permitted you to search for keywords in the headlines, you can now search the full texts and immediately read them, store them to HTML and print them.
This first Special Edition of the Hugi Magazine contains 330 articles written by 102 authors. This amounts to 4.4 Megabyte of text-data. Thus, the Coding Digest is the largest single diskmag issue ever released.
There are three tables of contents sorted by three different schemes. One is sorted by issue number, the second by author, and the third by topic. Thus, you are not only able to investigate which issues had the largest number of articles and the most useful contents, but also who were the most diligent writers. And if you sort the articles by topic, you will get something like the Coding Corner of a Super issue. - isokadded on the 2003-08-31 15:19:11

- demo Windows Liquid... Wen? by Haujobb
- This prod has the same problem as Variform: The first minutes are not too attractive, and only after the moment you think it's already over ("don't press escape") it actually starts getting interesting. Wouldn't it have been a better idea to release parts 1 and 2 as two separate demos?

- musicdisk Windows Chipmusic Best Of 2001-2003 by Razor 1911 [web]
- Excellent. Apart from being a fine chip music disk, it's a good compilation of classic demo effects.

- diskmag MS-Dos wilby #6 by wild bits [web]
- Actually Spock didn't intend to release another Wilby issue after #5, but when he was asked to take part in the 4k intro compo at a party, he had the idea to create a "cracktro" with texts and call it Wilby #6. Here's his original announcement mail from the Wilby mailing list (wilby-subscribe@yahoogroups.com):
"Well...
After this long time without Wilby's we now have a new one!
Please do not blame me too much (a little is just ok :D) because it's poooor: I was attending a party and, while on it, I decided to do something for the 4k intro competition... at the same time, I though it was time for another Wilby issue, I also wanted to do a cracktro, and over all this I had a few almost_without_sleep nights on my back, so lets check the resulting Wilby with... eeemmm... scene spirit? :)
Greets."
The organizers of that party had made a call for productions because it seemed it would not be possible to hold the 4k compo due to lack of entries.
As a matter of fact, Wilby #6 placed 2nd - of two intros. :) - isokadded on the 2003-08-04 16:06:07

- @Tomaes:
Maybe one ought to translate some of the articles from old German diskmags to the English language so that international people can enjoy them as well... Perhaps it would be an interesting idea to create a new mag containing only English translations of selected articles (good ones that are still interesting today) from old German diskmags. Of course all authors must be asked for permission... - rulezadded on the 2003-08-04 15:59:34
