- I don't think one can guarantee if a work relates emotionally or not; kinda like how dog movies only work if you like dogs.
I guess both Structure and Sequence are kinda based on the idea of the idea of the abstraction of how organisms and processes work - Structure deals more with elements creating something bigger than themselves, Sequence is more about the pattern of actions an organism can do. I don't think there has to be a context for this, if you focus on the action - I feel that would be too representational, which in turn would require a whole different visual look. Instead it's more of a deconstructive experience where patterns and the actors performing these patterns are more just stripped down portrayals, the idea that there is something doing a repetitive series of actions with the environment changing around it putting the action into a different atmosphere or context.
Sequence probably owes a lot to my fascination with the idea of duty and discipline and doing things you're supposed to do even though it makes no sense for the other person, and doing them even if the circumstances are adverse, about how sometimes you can't really tell where the line is between an automaton's programming and humans following traditions or routines. It's also the slow evolution of things, about how two things to the same things over and over become a third thing when put together - which I think is also something that can feel very human if you project it back to to the human condition.
Or something. At least it's not cubes this time. - isokadded on the 2018-03-20 21:45:47

- Guys, just because it has a skull in it doesn't mean it's a Cocoon demo :) The stylistic differences are pretty apparent as soon as you start looking beyond the absolute surface.

- Absolutely massive. The corridor scene is an absolute masterclass in lighting + composition + editing.
