- The instrument design in this prod was truly amazing! You really got that synth propelled to the next level! Great work. The visuals were amazing and really rocked. The scenes could perhaps benefit from a bit more content - the effect is super awesome, but a bit more effort to the scenes/surrounding would really make this prod a powerhouse. All in all, a fantastic 64k, and considering you made everything yourself, it's mindboggling how rich an entry this was!

- Wow! This one really blew me away. Amazing amount of work this must have taken. Cool story, great visuals and actually you managed to have audible speach/lyrics/voice on the PA, which is an achievement in itself :D Great work you guys ;)

- Sooo catchy tune. Though it'd be great if the socks opened their "mouths" in sync with the words instead of closing them whenever a word should be sung ;) But for the concept, the sweet post processing and most definitely for the amazing tune that made the entire hall clap :D

- For the music in a '94 production, this is actually quite cool. So even though it's just "a lame anim-player" it's still got some pretty fine design and great music, though it was beaten by both Rebels and Haujobb's productions.

- Sweet modeling and the intro scene (screenshot) looked really cool! I like your idea of perhaps trying to please the audience you knew this prod would have, by adding the different "levels". Only, I kinda feel the concept got somewhat forced. It meant you had to "invent" scenes for each of the levels, and the overall story perhaps got a bit weird because of that.
The music for this was really cool, though i was a bit baffled by what happened at 2.40. The break from part A to intermission seems completely off. Yet, the buildup from intermission to part B worked quite nice. I do sense a slight lack of higher frequencies and particularly the snare suffers. I think the entire soundtrack could have really benefitted from a bit of extra care to the mastering, to have it spread out more. More high freq, please :)
But overall, this was really a pleasure to watch, and even though I didn't quite catch the story about the monkey, rolling pyramids and stuff, it's definitely thumbworthy :) - rulezadded on the 2017-08-09 23:24:01

- Attention to detail and amount of work this must have taken is truly breathtaking. I can't even begin to imagine how much stuff you had to watch, rewatch and rewatch again to get every little detail in place.
About it being ahead of time demoscene wise - it might be. But I'd be more inclined to say it's a bit off from bulls eye. Overshooting a target too much means loosing most of the viewers, and I guess that's what happened to this prod.
Seeing Yolk back in business is a really great thing, and though the soundtrack is a bit off from my taste, there's no doubt there's a huge amount of work put into that as well. All the little details with glitches, retriggering, reverbs/delays, the general quality of the mixing of the voice parts. Really an amazing amount of work, no doubt about that.
So what I'm getting at, is that while the quality of the prod is off the charts, I'm still a bit undecided about whether I actually love this prod or not. Even after rewatching a couple of times, I'm torn. It might be that it's missing a key ingredient - like the chef creating a five star michellin meal but forgetting the salt in the main course. Only, I can't put my finger on exactly what "salt" would be for this prod :D
But one thing is clear - the thumb goes up! - rulezadded on the 2017-08-09 23:12:59

- Ooooh - this one's cool. I actually totally missed "the joke" and didn't notice until people here brought it to my attention. But I really loved the idea and the instrument design was actually quite fitting. It's a "plausible" sound for bricks falling down. Good job on that. I could have wanted a bit more atmosphere than just the hum during the other scenes, though.
I think the concept's quite cool, though blatantly wasted spending precious bytes on a lame joke (that didn't make it through to me) so if only those bytes had been spend on an extra eerie instrument and a little more polish, this would really have been a blast. - rulezadded on the 2017-08-09 00:00:21

- The "offbeat" clap could probably have saved you some bytes had it been on beat. Some rather nice instrument design for the filtered bass and the bass kick. That clap/snare could use some love though. But I know it's really a pain to do snares ;)
Visually this didn't quite do it for me. It has some nice acid'y vibes to it, but it just doesn't quite get there. Not sure it's the noise that spoils it, but perhaps some more psychedelic visuals would have suited the music better.
Still plenty for a good thumb up, though. Good work ;) - rulezadded on the 2017-08-08 23:53:19

- Some really nice and new instrument design. Great composition. Visually, it's quite cool and I particularly like the choice of colors. Congratulations on the win :)
