• haven't tested on real hw yet, but at least "greetings to lord graga" scene is quite slow on vba (also, weirdly, that dot torus thing).. anyway, have to make deeper check to that glow thing since it shouldn't include that much mystic :)

  and about the glow challenge: iirc in your stream demo it was those gradients put in sprite tile mem, and hw does the blending. at least dairos has done that before :) (not in full resolution though, but almost)
