• In the end, Atari produced a system that wasn't prepared to play shoot-em-ups. It's more of the "serious" home computing. To do some MIDI, ASCII text processing, home accounting, learn BASIC or 68000 assembler.
  Atari ST is like a ZX Spectrum, but enhanced. Too much bigger and heavy.
  Some software sprites, and a full screen scroll (in software, too) and the game CRAWLs. It doesn't reach 1VBL, it needs 3 and up to 4VBLs for 1 frame.
