- pera, yep. Well, its not FFT, but just a direct implementation of the Fourier Transform (fewer bytes, but slower of course).
p01, you really want to keep track of spectrums across convolutions and distortions? Unless you are making a synth with only sinus tones, I think you have no option other than computing the FT... - isokadded on the 2008-05-15 20:22:23

- interesting... I have r9800 (no mobile) with driver version 8.4 (it was working ok with 8.3 and 8.2 too). I can try in the office next week on a r9700. But I would say you three are running laptops, problem comes from drivers perhaps, and then I cannot really help much I think... Let's see next week, I will prepare some exes to debug the problem

- short, fast, but cool. It was a pleasure to have an amiga prod rocking on the big screen.

- hehe. This ARE real 3d spheres. Each one is an individual sphere, no grouping or anything. It's 3d, almost any standard technique can be used here - as occlusion queries, shadow mapping or ssao.
I managed to make the ssao work with shaders 2.0 cards, I'm using 14 taps (without dithering or bluring, but eh, this is 4k!)
The spheres are raytraced, they are pure 3d. The thing is to bound the real geometry by a simpler geometry (say,a cube) and do the raytracing on the shader. That way you can draw for example a million real 3d pills:
, they correctly interesect each other and so on, but you only have the cost of one million cubes (what is very very fast). Another example, again one million toruses (shaders 2.0, quite fast)
Again, these are real 3d, not only they interesect/occlude each other, but also any starndard geometry you want to mix with the scene with regular polygons. The only problem is you have to write to the zbuffer, and so early zcull optimizations are disabled, but is pretty fast anyway even in my old gfx card.

- hi hi. Few notes,
Im in vacations at my parents, I will be back to normal life in 6 days, then I will fix the crashes on some computers (hitchhikr, gargaj), fix the sound (sorry josss) and make the video. The server that hosts rgba's site seems to be up and down, please a bit of patient, no need to post about broken links, we know, and sorry for that. Trace, no space for the logo, Utopian (thx man) and me actually had to cut stuff in the last minute to make it fit in 4k. Ah, just in case, this is gm.dls again, so you know, you know? - isokadded on the 2008-05-12 01:01:25
