No point in going on though, as I'm clearly wandering into the german-friend-voting-zone here.

- demo Windows SteamPFunk by SquoQuo [web]
- Gloom: first of all you will find that you can see ripped artefacts in most demos, heck it's even merely impossible to build content without relating to ideas, techniques or styles which were there before. One may even say that the concept of creativity is by itself not too much apart from the concept of ripping and you can clearly see extensions on the katamari idea I've never seen before such as the endscoller.
May it be as it be - your question is not relating to what I've been saying anyways because I never said that the realization of the idea makes SquoQuo a unique group. They are doing their thing and come away with it. It's completely clear to me that their style will not please the crowds in a way others are desperately trying to. Still they won't stop and this opportunism is for me more honest and unique than what many others are doing. - isokadded on the 2008-12-09 15:55:59

- SquoQuo is definitely one of the more unique groups in the scene. This demo proves it once again ;) Sure the gfx may seem to look challenged but I can acknowledge this as either design decision or lack of graphician. Whatever it is, the sfx are really smooth, code seems fine and the idea of course - ripped or not - still is awesome!

- wild Animation/Video Odyssey Reborn by Preferredimage [web]
- I liked the original and I like this one, especially for the music and the dedication put into it. And for the silly drama component: it's demoscene do what you want (and live with it). The last thing we surely need though are sceners trying to prevent others from actually producing something (and hopefully improving skills and building up motivation while on the way)!

- I like the massive soundtrack. I also like how you manage to get much out of not exactly that much content. Very special thanks for that launcher dialog with its very cool "Save Soundtrack" button!

- demo Windows Powder Finger by Scandinavian Starrs
- Splendid! I had a good laugh about the playful object-in-the-middle/scroll-random-monster-picture-in-from-the-sides/showoff-glitch-presentation of this piece. Also the tune was quite catchy and some pretty effective synchs there. This will stay in my private democollection for some time.
