- demo Windows DEMO2 by Ekspert
- Quote:Well, sotty to say, but I just watched it again and there aren't any credits for UE, either in the demo itself or in the .nfo-file.
numtek: it was on the compo slide, and there's an appropriate code credit given.
It states:
code: t. sweeney
So I assume he did all the coding, since well,. he(/or she) is the only one credited for the code.
Thanks for pointing out it was on the beamslide, but I haven't been to Assembly (I was at Evoke instead), so how could I have known? I didn't catch any "appropriate code credit" but I could have overlooked it. - isokadded on the 2015-08-03 21:00:24

- I almost give it a piggie for the effort because of the last dancing scene with the metallic look. But knowing you just used UE to make that look good it doesn't save the demo from people who do somersault that bug through static geometrym ugly fonts, boring torusses and out of place colors and shapes. The music with that pitched up vocal felt a bit uninspired and tried to hype a lot. I must say that the music and the visuals at some point had a nice interation, mainly due to the highlights in some scene.
I have no clue why this ended up as second but I guess the music got the Assembly-crowd to vote.
Additional detractors for the fact you used UE and didn't mentioned this anywhere. I mean ripping commercial engines is one thing, but at least be honest about it. Sorry to be so harsh, but it is like that. I wish you the best of luck in new releases, because there is potential hidden there somewhere. - sucksadded on the 2015-08-03 15:28:15

- Quote:Funny how we can have so such a different taste, I found this to be one of the most touching scenes the demoscene produced in a long time. It really struck me and hit an emotional nerve in a good way. Besides that it looked awesome as well. The storytelling in that scene is just epic, it goes way furtrher than expected from a demoscene production, touching some heavy themes in a happy, positive way.
Really great demo, particles fest! it's a bit long but not boring at all (except for the last scene with couple mocap, let's forgot this awkward one).

- I was rather confused by this. It contains copyrighted audiosamples, which are in plain sight (now do the harlem shake) as well as copyighted logos and even the name itself is a brandname. Besides this I expected a making of, but instead it was filled with gabber.
I like gabber. I guess that is what saves it from a thumb down, even with all the scenes recycled like eight times. Oh and that 3d-model of the ID&T-logo was cool as well. - isokadded on the 2015-08-03 08:03:42

- Wow. You progressed so much since your last relase it is almost unfathomable. The music was solid with some parts being rather epic because of the acid.
The theme and execution was really enjoyable.
So much content, so much scenes! I really don't know whewre to start. The fact that you let the robots walk to the city, which you just introduced clearly shows you know how cinematographic story telling works. I was waiting for that scene, and you delivered on that promise. That feeling lasted the entire prod, from the start to the end. It is hard to believe you made so much steps, taking into account that othere relase with the sleeping uncanny vally girl in the bed.
So yeah maybe the robots moved a bit odd and they didn't really fit the steorotypical robot view. I couldn't care less for a one man 64k prod. I mean, they did walk did they? I bow to you sir, solid job, big up!
There was acid, BASS, there were robots, it even had a storyline, the rendering was awesome. For a group effort this would have been rather nice, for a one man job it was next to epic. - rulezadded on the 2015-08-02 04:05:51

- So,.. can anyone give a reason to thumb this down? Nah don't think so.
I liked the font rendering of the wikipedia page, like it ain't no thing.
It could have used a little more strobes tho. :p - rulezadded on the 2015-08-02 03:53:03
