- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Hardwired by Crionics & The Silents [web]
- *The* classic among classic Amiga demos, Hardwired was truly an *event* when it came out. Sporting effects that still feel fresh, one of Jesper Kyd's most epic soundtracks, superb design, and some spectacular 2D art, this demo's influence to this very day can be seen in a lot of modern productions. This is what happens when the creators know they're good at what they do... and do it.

- demo Windows hwr2 by kosmoplovci [web]
- While it initially seemed interesting, I started to feel pretty indifferent about it about half-way through, and as it neared its conclusion, I couldn't wait for it to end. I've tried several times since its release to give it another chance, but I haven't made it through to the end since. Art, no matter what form it takes, should be first and foremost, engaging to the viewer, listener, or what have you. Ufortunately, HWR2 failed to connect with me in the way that it has some of the users here.

- musicdisk Amiga OCS/ECS Spring Melodies by Anarchy
- Classic musicdisk from BKH+NHP... typical Anarchy style. Check it out; lots of great tunes in this one.

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS ARTE by Sanity
- Incredible art by Ra... I love his work in Stars, but you gotta love the old pixel look of the best Amiga demos. Effects are old, but I think most of them hold up well even to this day. This is also some of Moby's best work. Cool synching on the text, too. There's just such a great balance between everything... you get some amazing pieces of 2D art with nice effect and a varied soundtrack. Beautiful work!

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS 9 Fingers by Spaceballs [web]
- I'd heard Travolta's mod before actually seeing the demo, and the tune set my expectations really high... it's still one of my favorites, and I played it ceaselessly when I first ran across it. Upon finally seeing the demo a few weeks later, I was happy with what I saw, although I felt that SOTA just flowed and looked better. Might have to do with the somewhat drab color scheme, and the plain white Japanese characters and single-color flower zoom effect kinda seemed rushed/cheap in comparison to the techniques being used on the dancing sequences. I also liked the loader graphic in SOTA better as well. Still, 9 Fingers is a great demo with a stellar soundtrack, and definitely deserving of a:

- 64k Windows fr-019: poemtoahorse by Farbrausch [web]
- Smooth, stylish, lots of cool effects, and an interesting use of text... lots of text. :) I like the tune, although the drum sounds like it should be a little deeper to match the overall ambiance of the demo. In the end, that's a very minor point in an otherwise jaw-dropping production. I appreciate this just as much as fr-08, although I like this one more from a scene perspective, just because it feels more like a traditional demo in terms of the way everything is put together and sequenced. Top-notch work.

- 64k Windows fr-08: .the .product by Farbrausch [web]
- When I first started watching this demo when it came out, the first thing that went through my mind was, "Man, those textures sure repeat quickly." :) But then the next scene came up... and then the next... and then the next... each scene got better and better, and it wasn't long before I was blown away by how much was packed into such a small space. Definite mastery all-around... the soundtrack is great, because although some of the scenes are very long, the music keeps you compelled. The textures are also very nice, and each one fits the object it's on. Everyone that I show this to -- as long as they know what 64k represents -- are absolutely stunned. The remainder? It's a split between people who love it because it looks and sounds great, and those that just don't get it. I, for one, tip my hat to those involved in this production, and I'm glad that there seems to be no end in sight for what Farbrausch is capable of. Keep up the great work!

- 64k MS-Dos Windows heaven seven by Exceed [web]
- Stunning example of a software-rendered demo, which still looks unbelievably good over three years later. While the text could've used some cleaning up (it has potential, but the word choices make some of the passages sound awkward and slightly comical), all of the scenes have nice variation, and the opening image of the woman walking down the white light corridor makes a very powerful statement, and is the one image that really sticks with you after the demo is over. Software-driven in 64k... I love these productions.

- demo musicdisk Amiga OCS/ECS Static Chaos by The Silents [web]
- Fantastic effects (spline dragon, etc.), an absolutely killer and aggressive soundtrack from Bass, and nice, tight design. Blew me away all those years ago...

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Enjoy the Silents by The Silents [web]
- Another pretty nice demo from the wonderful demo year of 1992. The superb music is what really made this demo memorable, since the design seemed to be all over the place on this one. Still, some really nice effects, especially the "jelly stuff" purple/blue/black flag. The lit shapechanging filled dotcube was also really smooth. Overall, worth checking out... some of the text will take you back in time!
