- 64k MS-Dos/gus clone meets clone by Fudge & Acme
- great effects, great music, great design. best intro of 1998. unfortunately, a lot of repeated scenes make it a little boring toward the end.

- 64k MS-Dos/gus pager-11 by Fudge & orange
- 15bpp only, die. (hey nvidia, how hard is it to include 15 & 24 bit?)
Go grab ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/dune/zzzbla.zip and you'll get half the impact of this intro. (but i'll really miss the particles) - isokadded on the 2001-03-01 15:48:52
- demo MS-Dos Untitled by Dust
- Pay close attention to the first part. Can you say "3 years ahead of Quake"?
Though some nice effects follow that, the design seems to fall apart. Still deserved to win, of course.
BTW, this demo will still run _perfectly_ on a Pentium II with Win98! (you may have to boot to DOS though) - isokadded on the 2001-03-01 15:32:21
- demo MS-Dos Elements by Xography [web]
- Well, they made a report, a 4k intro, and a BBS intro after it, but those aren't demos so I guess you're right :).
Loved the music in the intro part (I've since ripped it :). The textured city and "mathematics" parts were way ahead of their time.
On the downside, it unpacked, loaded, and erased files between each part (slow), and needed > 600k RAM. So good luck running it today.. - isokadded on the 2001-03-01 15:22:29
- demo MS-Dos/gus Catchup! by Grif
- Runs just great on my P2+Win98 box with GUS! Overkill "design", but the end Virtual Reality part still rocks, and great music of course. Try the GUSEmu util..

- demo Commodore 64 Dutch Breeze by Blackmail
- One of the C64 all-time classics - from 1992, I believe. It's in the traditional C64 style (no Amiga/PC-style effects) but features some fantastic music (featuring Jeroen Tel aka WAVE) and graphics (many copies, but what can you do..).

- demo MS-Dos Crystal Dream 2 by Triton
- First off, it's Crystal Dream 2, not Dreams.
Second, it's from 1993, not 1992.
I agree with your opinions, but get your facts straight first! :) - isokadded on the 2001-02-27 18:50:04
- demo Commodore 64 Sixties Revival by Resource [web]
- Short n sweet. Just a few colorful effects, and a neat bump-scroller at the end.

- demo Commodore 64 4 Years by Oxyron [web]
- Nothing exciting, just a collection of effects like plasma, fire, and julia fractal morph, most in the chunky 4x4 mode. Good music.
