• I came back to say this: While this is amazing from a technical point of view and tells a story, it struck me several times how grim the situation displayed in this prod is -
  
  This car is having an accident at high speed and there is no driver in the cockpit. While that's likely due to how difficult (technically and modeling wise) it would be to show the person, it also means that the driver in this story is very likely dead.
  
  Even more so when considering the 60ies race-car like appearance of the car, and the fact that there were almost no safety measures for protecting driver's lives in these.

  Technical reason for the file size:
  This bundles Qt6, Scipy and the Python Standard Library, among some other, smaller dependencies.
  
  Software design reason for using those dependencies:
  This is a tool, which has the specific purpose of picking/editing and packing small color gradients for 4k intros. It is Cross-Platform and maintainable because of Python, easy to implement because of Scipy and doesn't look like shit because of Qt6.
  
  The effort required for writing a win32/xlib gui application for this is really justified in no way :) even more so because it's a tool and not an intro, so the meme doesn't even apply.
  
  But if you're really unhappy with it, go ahead and fork it, size optimize it. It's open source and available on Github :)
