- demo MS-Dos/gus Warp by legend design
- One of the classic PC "megademos" of its day. I couldn't get a screenshot, but they're not working now anyway. :/

- demo Windows Glon 243 by Cocoon [web]
- OK, I finally got around to downloading the final version through my slow-ass modem. I found the demo quite enjoyable! And even non-scene people might enjoy seeing it once or twice. The objects are minimal, but the motion is well done (and there IS violence, but in a Wile E. Coyote kind of way :). The creators, could probably work on their English a little, it's a bit.. weird. They could've used simpler words, really. And what the heck is a Glon, anyway? :)
For those who complain that it's just an animation, not a demo, two thoughts. 1, they did it on their own time, for free (well, I guess they got some prizes :), and 2, with today's hardware, do we really NEED an animation compo anymore? Think about it. As long as there are still some effect-based demos and artistic demos, the scene will have a good balance.
I'd probably give it a rulez rating, but there are more than enough already. :) - isokadded on the 2001-07-06 19:51:07
- demo MS-Dos Ambience by Tran
- kb, I'm afraid not. The Zen Garden was used in Luminati (see the entry), Ambience used Drops in Time, and Timeless used some tune by Tran himself. I've spent lots of time on my American demo collection, so I'd better not be wrong. :)

- demo Windows PreAMPLI by ADDiCT [web]
- Damn, how did I miss this? Very good for a group's first Windows demo. Colorful scenes, and a very very large endscroller pic. The Polish scene needs to open up a little more so we can discover their demos easier. :)

- demo Windows Volatile by ADDiCT [web]
- Me rikey. Music gets a bit weird at times, but that tunnel thing at the beginning is pretty damned cool. Get this one if you've missed it.

- demo Windows Tesla by Sunflower [web]
- Wasn't too big on it at first, but after watching it in a demo set following Chrome/Damage and Volatile/Addict, I was smitten. So for best results, mix it in with some other layered, non-hardcore demos. Good music too, of course.

- demo Windows On by anadune [web]
- Another quality Mekka demo that got lost in the shuffle, and like the other one I just entered (Optical) it comes from Poland. As demonstrated by the 1st shot, it has some great gfx. I really like the music as well, kudos. The 3d human models might seem a little cheap, but the demoscene they're not bad. If you're trying to follow a storyline, it gets a little choppy, but the visuals in the 2nd part make up for it.
Technically, it got 20th (!), but to be fair, I'll use what was written in the results file (places weren't skipped for ties). - rulezadded on the 2001-07-04 00:38:49
- demo Windows Optical by ADDiCT [web]
- One of the forgotten MS01 demos, but it deserves some attention. Good solid design, great 3d effects, and good music.

- demo MS-Dos time zone + 13:00 by Eufrosyne
- Ugh.. Juhla 4. I was closer. :)

- demo MS-Dos time zone + 13:00 by Eufrosyne
- Evoke? Nono.. try Juhla 3. Were you just guessing, trace? :)
TZ1300 is a real pioneer of the modern low-color, particle style. Dune supplies a great soundtrack, as he often does. Great effect synchronization. Probably my fave demo from this group. - rulezadded on the 2001-07-03 14:28:34
