- demo MS-Dos Babylon by Psychic Monks
- The great attempt at demomaking by Necros himself (with a little help :), but sadly, it missed NAID (parts wouldn't link in time) and missed the Assembly compo because it crashed under EMM386, which the compo required. It must've been the only compo that required it. Anyway, they still blasted it on the screen while people were leaving :).
The demo itself was rather artistic for the time (before everyone jumped on the poetry bandwagon) and has some cool effects like the comet/voxel tunnel, but they still come off a little stale, and it's screaming for more colors or high res. As for the music.. do I need to comment? :) - isokadded on the 2001-09-09 00:31:14
- demo MS-Dos State of Hate by Dubius
- As could be expected, this demo has some nice 3D scenes with shadows similar to Machines of Madness, but it falls a little short of that demo. The music from Nitro has a cool, slow pace to it, but gets a little goofy at times. Not much in the design department.

- demo MS-Dos Optimal Torque by Dubius
- The first (well-known :) Dubius demo, taking several design cues from Dope. Great music from Nitro as always, but the demo itself is full of bugs (observe the walls in the Descent/intro part). You probably won't be able to run it on anything faster than a P166 without it crashing.

- demo MS-Dos DX Project by Realtech [web]
- There's a screenshot for you. It gives you a good idea of what most of the demo is like :). Object up top, fancy-sounding name on the bottom, photoshop twirl pic in the background. But it was a milestone for being in 640x480 (ooh, ahh). The fast paced music kept it from being as boring as, say, Zweilight Zone. The end tune is nice too. The pictured ship part went slow as hell on a 486, so try it on your current PC if you haven't seen it at full speed. :)

- musicdisk Windows chipmusicdisk #1 by Rebels
- Great mix of tunes, even if I skip the ones that are way too f@#$ing loud. :) Werd to US comrades Beek and Virt. I actually prefer tunes to loop rather than skip to the next.. the best chiptunes can play for half and hour without you realizing it. :) On the downside, the window's a bit too small for a large desktop.
Hey aMUSiC, I remember wasting my Friday nights on 20MC :) - damn, it was like 6 years ago! You can still try irc.scene.org (or irc.midwest.scene.org) #trax, but you'll have a hard time getting ppl for another chipcompo. :/

- demo Windows manifesto by Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- Dissing 3d scenes then praising Maturefurk.. sorry but isn't that just a little hypocritical?

- 4k Windows varus by kolor [web]
- Since my last comment, I've gotten a new Athlon 1.4, looks (and sounds) great now, thumbs up. Very complex scenes for 4k, and some design to boot!

- demo Windows Obs by SquoQuo [web]
- Average as far as the MS01 demos go, but overall not too bad. Some cool 3d scenes, a little on the evil side, the music can be described as "dark experimental" :). But I dig it. Cute "oldschool" part toward the end.

- 64k MS-Dos Fluid Motion by Valhalla
- Sagacity: DemoVT sucks, that's all I have to say.. at least the s3m was included, making it easier to rip. :)

- demo MS-Dos Black Glass 2 by Renaissance
- Couldn't make a screen shot. If anyone succeeds, kudos.
It's a vectorball demo, but you can change the sprites (some cute and evil ones in there). The highlight is the music, it's 4 channel digital plus 9 channel FM-synth (done again later in Amnesia), made in a tracker which was never released. :) CCCatch's tune shows off the FM better than Mosaic's.
