- demo Windows The Ballet Dancer by mfx [web]
- interesting re-interpretation of the ather hit effect. goes on perhaps a bit too far (and was missing the ultimate death of the ballet dancer :), so i won't give up any thumbs for it this time. still a pleasure (or should i say, convenient torture) to watch.

- wild Animation/Video Der Kleine Ägyptische Wixer by Verärgerten Multi Mittel Knabe
- not my cup of dickmilch. i guess it won because of the greetings to damones or then the general quality of the compo was just too low. :)

- demo Windows September And Snowfall by Traction [web]
- not sure if it's a conscious move of not, i smell the scent of iconosglast. nevertheless, an enjoyable morning for a sunday morning, makes the autumn feel all not so bad at all. feels also a bit rushed and unfinished, but still way on the better side of the production lane.

- demo Windows Butterfly Thoughts by Traction [web]
- Happened to watch this first time since Breakpoint and decided to open up my wordly chest (ha). I have somehow very mixed feelings about this demo. On the one hand it has some incredibly good parts - the maze cube has to be mentioned, as well always working mosaic structures and splined lines beauty. Then again lot of the material is recycled from old Traction productions and some parts look just too bad in comparison (like the -97'ish tunnel effects).
The music flows well, the spooky combination of the melody and silent drum'n'bass beats work well together. Then again it's not very memorable.
Still, I'd give a thumb up unless the direction wasn't so tacky. Perhaps you guys run out of time, but the transitions are somehow way off and sometimes I just wonder why something is there on the screen or why the change came in the middle of a musical phrase. Taking a look back to 'I Am', this is clearly a step backwards.
Not bad, but I know you can do better. Well, enough analytics for this Friday night - here's your piggie. - isokadded on the 2005-09-02 19:09:21
