• I think you could safely fit this in a 512b compressed elf. That might actually be slightly challenging though, unlike sticking some source code in a shell script and relying on development libraries being present... I really dislike this self-compiling trick. It's unimaginative and a step back in my opinion.

• Technical ownage, I really don't think the design/direction/music is as revolutionary as some people are making out though. I tend to agree that there might never be a demo like this on C64 ever again; how many people can spend 1 year linking a demo?

• Fucking awesome demo. I really really want a C64 now. The direction, pace and sync in this demo are amazing but it also features some incredible code. I haven't LOLed out of sheer enjoyment of a screen in ages, but after watching the beginning of the greets and thinking 'this looks so crap something good is gonna happen', and then seeing it move, well... That got to me.
