- 256b MS-Dos Colder than Ice by Molecoola [web]
- ugh. thx people... to tell the truth, I didn't want to release this intro, then just because I worked on it with struggling... I was in bad form, my brain went to holiday, so creating my intro wasn't a pleasure as usual. I am not sure now if it good or not... I wished to make something better.
Though I like the base effect that I coded in 1998 (the waving water with that nice palette), and maybe rotating planes are good too. A fade would be good, but I could do it only in too much bytes.
The bug-like effect on the sky was intended, maybe a bad choice? I usually don't use such things. The original idea was a more clean thunderlike thing, but deadline was near and I was tired and on the monitor it was not so horrible :) (but on the projector...) - isokadded on the 2003-10-29 11:43:58

- this intro use FRACTAL FLAME. there is a program caller Apophysis, you can search for it on the Net and will found many beautiful pictures besides that (simple) program. Apophysis source in Delphi is available and Alvaro creates his own and better Apophysis versions... I hope it will be available soon, now it's for Alvaro and me only :) ofcoz creating a really nice big picture needs several moments (in Alvaro's version less, Apophysis is not very speed optimized).

- tube is not only a tiny effect with good code (though 256 bytes is much... I realized it when I tried to do a great 64b intro =)), but really nice. it's beautiful. not only "nice for a 256b intro". IMHO :)
256b is much enough for a not too simple code with well choiced colors and beauty! so I usually dislike 256b intros which are undesign. an intro should be nice as well, I think (though there are exceptions... something really difficult admirable thing in 256b just to show what one can do).
Tube rocks! =) - isokadded on the 2002-01-09 17:46:16

- kusma: les bp,[bx] or similar is an old trick, but it isn't work everywhere. 3rd & 4th byte of psp: some kind of memory in paragraphs, I don't know exactly what and why not work everywhere... -> 0A000h*16=640k

- 256b MS-Dos lattice by 3SC [web]
- as I said in 256b.com, it's GREAT... hm... it's high time time to code 256bytes again... I am so inactive nowadays.
I love such 256b intros: nice warm colors, feeling of a little 3d world...
I am a 256b fan and suc jewels are precious for me =) - rulezadded on the 2001-12-28 10:39:12

- 256b MS-Dos Yew by Mnemonic
- crs, yew doesn't contain a filler ofcoz, but points. more exactly, big squares. it's rather simple.
but a triangle filler in 2400 bytes... how you did that?! my rotating gouraud shaded cube was so big when I started to code in pure asm! you did something wrong or your filler is special :)
wireframe is harder than points and not so impressive in 256b, I think... - isokadded on the 2001-12-28 10:10:28
- demo Windows (we took the) greenpill by Haujobb
- I'm downloading it now... I am curious :). different and not demonstrating the guys' skills? this alone isn't a problem for me. I dislike monotonous things, but maybe I will like it. maybe not. I will tell it later :)
