• are every such simple effect so impressive in 256 bytes, or is it so difficult to do such an effect in 256 bytes on a C64 ?
  
  no offense, i'm just wondering ... a fire effect is really a simple effect, and can be done in much less than 256 bytes, but as i did it only on PC i don't know how hard it is on C64 ...

  and it's not only that it's an oric demo, it's also an _impressive_ oric demo, when you know the constraints for the colors (for example) ...
  there should always be a text file with the explanation of the 4pixels2colorsthing shipped with each oric demo, just to let you know how much you must be impressed :)
