• Adapts surprisingly well to hardware 22 years later. Ran it in 2560x1440, and the backgrounds were still centered 4:3 on the screen but the effects all ran in HD 16:9 as expected, with very few visual bugs. Deciding whether to capture it this way or crop it to 4:3 for Youtube. Good music, hopefully it's not ripped. Decent demo overall, maybe not a rulez though.

• Travis: can you share your settings? GUS port/irq/dma, CPU, memory size, video card? I still have no luck running this in DOSBox-X or PCem, though the former has all sorts of config settings used to run a specific demo or game (not interested in trying each one though).

• I get the use of different flash/strobe patterns to mix things up a bit, but the music doesn't change to match it, so it just becomes annoying when flashing rapidly.

• The intro captured in the youtube link is actually Swiss HQ BBS Intro, which has a different tune (kawai-k1 aka transformer) and different scroll text than this one. But yeah, same otherwise. :)

  Between this, Eon, and the recent TEK demos, we're seeing the A500 taken to heights even the A1200 has rarely seen. There's certainly some inspiration between them but the bar keeps getting raised. Sure, there's precalc involved, but fitting it all onto two disks and loading it seamlessly still impresses me.

• ctrix: The capture was mine, hope you don't mind. Sorry it lacks the analogue warmth of a hardware capture. :D I'm happy how it came out though.. smooth at forced 60 fps and no screen tearing, which seems to happen a lot in DOSBox even when I mess with the vsync settings.
