- It's a rather novel idea to have not only randomization, but the ability to change the random seed on the fly. However, I'm not very impressed by the result. The randomizations seem to be mainly with colors, textures, and some meshes. The landscape with the train probably used it best. I get that you wanted a specific story line, but I think something where you could have changed more camera angles, movement, or entire scenes would have made it more apparent. And maybe limit the variety of color schemes, some of the random choices don't do the demo any favors. :) Music was nice, but the restrictions on the objects and visual processing gives it a 2000's vibe.

It's not that tune, but it's still pretty catchy. :) I had a feeling an invite was coming when I saw the title, and one is literally tacked on to the end. But I kind of like it that way, as the main demo works well on its own. - rulezadded on the 2023-04-24 18:59:37

- No purely AI generated content. While we do recognize that AI generated content can provide assistance or inspiration, the majority of the submitted entry must exist out of own/group work.1
So does this not count as "majority"? - isokadded on the 2023-04-20 22:54:08

- 2003 style, I can dig it. Good to give the GPU a little rest once in a while. :) Hope to see more like this!

But really, really sorry to say that, we're at 1GB here, now we can also put the rendered video in a .exe file with a video player and that's it.
This tired argument has been around since the days of 10MB demos.
1920*1080*3-byte color (should be 4 maybe?)*30 fps = ~178 MB/sec lossless. So no, not quite.
Oh yeah, the demo. Naturally it's more of an effect test than a design reel this time, but that's fine. The music drop after the quotes hits hard. And, well, it certainly *works* on an 8GB GTX3070Ti, but yeah, that VRAM gets chomped up fast and by the middle of the demo, it starts screaming for mercy. Could I have gotten a 16GB RX6800, or held out for a 12GB 4070Ti instead? Sure. But there's no sense in regrets or hindsight.
One nitpick: The gang of fem-droids moves a little too much in unison; it looks like you're duplicating the same object motion in a simple grid. A little more variety in motion start/speed and position would've helped in that scene. - rulezadded on the 2023-04-14 23:16:05

- Werd up to ps for keeping the TPOLM spirit alive through TIC80! As he discussed in his post-party vlog, if it motivates people to make demos who otherwise might not, what's to complain about? A shame it didn't run in the compo as expected.. if they do have a separate fantasy console compo next year, hopefully more attention will be given to running them right.

- Jesus. Would obviously have walloped everything else if there were a 64k intro compo, but this could be 64 MB and I don't think anyone would complain. Was super cool on a large screen where it was easier to focus on different parts of the visuals.
