• +1 for the style, direction and soundtrack. Compared to let's say the P-word this is way more refined in every aspect, and especially compared to the other demos in the compo it shows how to do black & white (...ish :) )
  
  Only "downside" is that I'm wondering if it's now just ok to get your 3D from turbosquid or sketchfab. But with the lack of 3D artists in the scene currently I can't be mad about that.

• This completely captivated me when we were watching the compo, and it still does on rewatch. Like how it evokes memories of Tom Thumb/TPOLM, and the story behind it is just too wholesome <3

  Oh, that's simple. Two reasons.
  
  First, it's a perfect inverse dog whistle, aka a honeypot. Attracts racists like honey attracts flies. They just can't resist. And it worked beautifully if you look at that gorgeous specimen above. (And I didn't even judge. It was just an observation. Look at slengpung and say I'm wrong.)
  
  But most of all: The "white" itself isn't even important. The homogeneity is, though. There's a lot of different skin tones on this planet, and if your bubble, your scene, _especially_ when it prides itself on being international, almost exclusively consists of one of them, you've got a problem. And this problem is a serious lack of knowledge and perspective compared to the rest of the world.
  
  Of course you can always think "That sounds like some anti-white male crap" if you want out yourself as a dimwit.

  You know what? This is probably the best theory on how this title happened.
  
  So how about you stop the mental gymnastics/autofellatio for a second? I've been there, at demo parties in the mid-90s. Guess what, I can't remember _one_ instance of people carefully elaborating artisanal philosophical meta jokes that might offend simple minds at first but are in actuality subtle food for thought. Instead there was a bunch of white dudes in their teens and 20s happily leeching directories full of porn from each other and not really thinking about it much.
  
  But herein lies the point - there's not really any "sides" here. That title is a really shitty joke that probably nobody thought about too much, and there is absolutely no shame in, say, admitting so. It's been almost 25 years, we all had a fuckload of time to grow as persons, and it's not the slightest problem to say "I was an ignorant fool (or colossal idiot) back then".
  
  Hell, I said and did a few really shitty things back in the day, and a few of them are documented on this very website. Feel free to find them and call me out on them. I might say things like "Yeah, I was kinda dumb back then" or "I didn't know better"
  
  What I absolutely WON'T do though is double down on those old shitty things tho. I mean, what the fuck are you people even arguing for? You're defending an almost 25 years old shitty joke that _someone else_ made. How sad is that please? "It's a meta joke". "It's art". "It's satire". "Something something feminism politics something". Are you fucking kidding me?
