- demo SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive The Kessler Incident by Resistance [web]
- Is it heresy to say that I don't understand what's so interesting about this? :-) I mean, the music is fairly nice, but the large majority of it is just… static images on screen? The first plasma/tunnel/thingie is an OK effect, the rest feels very bland.

- demo JavaScript Das Färjan by Proxima Centauri [web]
- Fun prod gonna fun, I guess. It's hard to know how to judge such a work if everything that's weird can be defended with “but it's supposed to be bad, that's the genre” :-) But I'll note that everything seems strangely reflective in the Färjanverse.

- demo Windows Ground Zero by Norferin
- I was going to write something snarky about UE5 and Stable Diffusion here… but OK, the music is fairly good, and some of the modelling is, too. As a demo, this doesn't work at all for me; many of the scenes seem to be just mashing the camera around in a mostly-static scene without any clear plan.

- 8k Windows DROIDS by ADDiCT [web]
- Nice droids. At times jarring camera work. The best part is actually the initial typography :-)

- demo Linux Windows MacOSX Intel 1976 by Damage
- Mainstream particles and faux oldschool kitsch indeed. I do feel that perhaps they are too independent, though, which makes the particle effects a bit boring at times (also, they seem to be statically lit, which doesn't work for me when they move). But hard not to thumb the large amount of content in here.

- demo Linux Windows Shapeshifter by Excess [web]
- break: It's a bug in the original engine (it splits up some images into tiles, since many 2002-era GPUs couldn't handle non-power-of-two textures—but due to lack of border texels, this causes gaps in higher resolutions, which we rarely tested). I've uploaded a fixed high-res render, five years after you asked. :-P

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Hologon by The Electronic Knights
- The objects spin and they spin, but I'm too old to get excited for that and repetitive tracker music :-)

- 4k Windows A study of glass II by mrange & Virgill [web]
- More like plastic than glass, but chill and beautiful nevertheless. The music fits very well; really impressive piano synthesis (if it isn't the GM sound bank?).

- 4k Windows Photons Are All We See by Altair
- The main effect is a good idea, but the execution feels a bit unfinished to me; it becomes too artificial and the particles too regular (to the point of creating moire). The final “rewind”-sequence could also have been dropped for my part. Music is nice, though, and lots of content for 4k. Nice one-man-prod.
