- demo Commodore 64 Dutch Breeze by Blackmail
- Awesome demo. And the second-to-last part ("soft and wet!") is probably the most fucked-up idea i've EVER seen on the C64.
Description: A naked woman lyin on a bed, her right hand just in front of her vagina, and a speech bubble saying "Use my joyport, honey". Then a "finger to continue" logo, and then, well, nothing. Stuck.
Solution: just lick one of your fingers and then rub the joystick port I with it. The woman will, uh, "animate" her hand, and shorty after this, you can go to the next part :)
And no, I found that out by reverse engineering the code and finding some $d41b/$d41c accesses, i'm not THAT of a pervert *g*

- demo MS-Dos/gus Dope by Complex [web]
- This was perhaps THE demo of the Year 1995. I remember seeing it at X'95 in Holland, where it ran over and over and over on everyone's PC with crowds of fascinated (or maybe just stoned :) sceners around them, the music turned to full volume, and all those discussions like "how did they do that", "are thse really 7800 polygons?", "world domination? those arrogant bastards", "nah, those shadows are only clever environment mapping, I did that five years before", "28 CHANNELS? HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU WASTE 28 CHANNELS?" etc. It simply HAD a great impact on the whole scene. Just like Cyboman II did.
And for me, it was the reason (together with "tears in her eyes" by The REW/Nostalgia which i listened to at the same party) to buy a GUS and later a PC around it :), so well, it has a particular value for me :)

- demo Windows Contour by The Black Lotus [web]
- Kinda sad that everything cool in the demo was already printed on their flyers (maaan, i never made that many paper planes in ONE day :), but still, a cool demo. Would even have deserved the first place in the compo. And the music is REALLY cool.

- demo Windows Buckle 3 Arena by Liquid Motion
- I still can't overcome the feeling in my stomach when i think that we gave "our" EWS64XXL to THEM. I mean, sorry, i may be somewhat biased, but NO demo is better than a Q3 level player...
Anyway

- 64k MS-Dos Bill G Force by Komplex [web]
- Yeah, great were the times before JMagic got his "interpreter languages are better" attitude...
Anyway, this was really fun to watch and hat a certain distinct style. And it was one of the few intros to unleash the full power of the Mode-Y fake truecolor mode. Long before VBE2 was fashion.

- 64k Windows antimoney by Threestate
- Now THAT's an intro. I've really rarely seen such a good and consequently performed concept in Intros. It's simply great.
The two main criticisms i'd state are the msuic which COULD be better (it's good, anyway)...
... and of course the "anti-consume" attitude. I mean - if EVERYONE yould think this way, ever thought about how our world would look like? CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT YOUR USELESS GADGETS?
Think about it.
Your friendly consumer consulter,

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS ARTE by Sanity
- Optimus, it MAY look nooon-ish because of the fact that Ra (the main graphician) and Moby (the musician) joined Noon shortly after having left Sanity, and those two were responsible for the style :)
(No, i don't want to say that the coders' work was irrelevant, i appreciate Mr. Pet's and Chaos's work on this very much :)

- demo Commodore 64 Access Denied by Reflex [web]
- I still remember a local meeting at my place in summer 1994, where Quiss/Reflex said "hm, i've coded some effects", put a disk into my 1541 drive, pressed a few keys and then stared back at us after realizing all our jaws just have dropped onto the floor.
Well, I had a certain feeling back then WHO would win The Party IV. And obviously, i was right.
So no more words, get this awesome production now :)

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Desert Dream by Kefrens
- 100% agree. Cool code, impressive music and synchronisation, great graphics, many hidden parts, scene jokes and all that stuff... everything a demo needs. Certainly one of my faves on the A500.
