- magic: No remote entries. Tbh I feel like just releasing prods at parties isn't very healthy for the scene in general, my last two were out of party as well. I mean, we used to make stuff all year round and things didn't have to be an 'event' , which puts way more pressure on things being a huge epic production and people's reactions to it. I applaud guys like TMR for releasing new stuff when they feel like it, that's way more in the spirit for me.

- Ad Astra
A demo by Ate Bit for the Pico-8 virtual console. ( http://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php )
Release date : 13/08/2016
Code & music : 4mat
Graphics : ilkke
Link is to the on-line version. (where you can also download the cart image) Or you can save the screenshot, rename it to .p8.png and load that straight into pico-8 as well.
A proper zip version from the atebit.org site will follow.
Leave audio enabled, demo uses the STAT variables to maintain timing and scenes won't continue otherwise.
Due to the way I merged some _update and _draw code together the demo may go out of sync if you don't have the window focused. This may
only affect watching it in pico-8 rather than the web version however. - isokadded on the 2016-08-13 14:12:09

- "This musicdisk features a POKEY soundchip simulator for the SID chip. The songs were written by Rob Hubbard for various Atari 800/XL games and I have tried to simulate them as accurately as possible without samples. All tracks playback in real-time using the original drivers and my wrapper converts the POKEY registers to the SID.
Only certain POKEY configs can be simulated, but then only certain distortion types can be simulated as well so this is as far as I can go with it.
Visuals are in the style of old '86-era Compunet demos. (my favourite)" - isokadded on the 2016-05-12 14:15:45

- Great effect code. noby you can't judge everything against some personal ideal of what demos are. What are you going to do next? Thumb down all the 1989 releases because design hadn't become a concept in demoscene history yet?

- noby: why thumb it down if you don't understand what's going on in it?
