Pouet logos, PNGs and IE
category: general [glöplog]
optimus: www.w3.org
and use "web developer" plugin for FireFox, really usefull if you want to code a site properly
Eurhm, "HTML" isnt validated by w3.. Only "fresh" restricted versions wich shouldnt be compared to the html-that-people-acctually(sadly)-uses.
I'd just like to add that I hate the no-PNG-transparency in IE thing a lot too. I would really have liked to make [img]http://www.astronomy.villanova.edu/vas/gif/VASbackground.gif[/url] more than binary transparent, for starfield effects and such. I originally MADE it that way, but noooo.... I could make it a transparent PNG but then about 70% of website viewers would see some sort of screwed up brown image there.
GRRRRRRR
Of course, I now wish I'd originally created it as an SVG so I could resize it to whatever size I needed...

aaaaaand I screwed up the BBCode. Today is not my day.
By the way, PocketIE doesn't support transparency in GIFs, so please don't upload avatars or logos with transparency. *cough*
I agree, lets remove all pictures and degrade to HTML 1.0, afterall, its all about compatibility.
let's code our logos with pixel shaders
but only if we use Nvidia-only extensions.
Gargaj: oO ... use Opera Mini or Opera for mobile.
Oh, and PNG with Alpha Blending works in IE7 just so you know. But hey, IE7 remains IE same broken support of the aeon old standards, same denial to implement standards that are in RC stage and already implemented in other browsers...

That was probably the ONLY thing they promised and delvered. (Try the zoom function on a page with alpha images. Hilarious!)
