And yes, what you see there is the band's singer after committing suicide. He slit his wrists, throat, OD'd and shot himself in the head with a shotgun. His stagename was Dead, his suicide note said "excuse all the blood". The band's guitarist, upon noticing the body, ran to the local convenience store to buy a Polaroid camera and took photos, THEN called the police. Two years later he was killed by the bass guitarist.

Gargaj: actually. the story behind the suicide, is that the singer was very depressed, and so his band-mates gave him shootgun shells for his birthday or x-mas (whaterver). He went up to his cabin, and never returned, and then, some mates from his band went up to check up on him, and they found him dead. They took a picture, and used it as a album-cover.

Quisten: yep, I know, I just didn't go into details. :) And actually it's a bootleg album cover anyway :)

Also it's worth mentioning that Euronymous (the guitarist) and Hellhammer (the drummer) is rumoured to have eaten pieces of Dead's brain and kept pieces of his skull as "merchandising".
