At least more readable font on scrollers and possibility to change scrolling speed (altough it was perfect for me, but other people might be slower/faster).

I think it would definitely benefit from an article section, even if it's only party reports or interviews. I'm sure there are a number of editors who would be willing to contribute (myself included).

With all the work that has been spent on the presentation and not forgetting the superb music selection, it seems a shame that I had finished reading the charts and information within ten minutes.

i think the charts should stay as charts and maybe try to get more people to vote.

i agree with wade, while excelently executed i would've liked more to read. maybe some articles of some sort?

also since you have 'best demo' and best musician etc... why not have best mod, or best mp3, or best ever pic? .... or is that going a little ott?

When I first downloaded World Charts I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the loader which preceded the charts. Unfortunately I was able to flip through the popularity contest in a matter of minutes and would tend to agree with Wade that it would be quite nice to also read some editorial style articles as well. Charts are fun but if you were to ever include content-based articles as well, let me know.

My suggestions (copied from the thread)

- Small fonts
- Scrollers are non-interactive.
- Export 2 text feature
- configurability for detail/resolution/windowedmode
- kill logging in unpacker (see C:/temp/debug_unrar.txt)
- some keyboard routines (left-right - main categorys; up-down - subcategories; or sg like that)
- top 20/50 instead of top 10 :)

A nonaccelerated version perhaps?

my suggestions :
- make the intro optionnal
- do an archive less than 1.44 Mb
- do more speed scrollings, because it is impossible to read, in issue14 we must wait loooong and slooooow and booooring scrolling. Add a feature to speed up the text writing (take a look to all other olds Amiga mags), use keys to change categories
- never accept votes for retired people, retired scener is like dead scener, dont promote them, they dont care of your vote, they are out of the scene now and never take a look to your chart
- make 1 issue per month, with online dynamic voting sheet on a website, with pre-filled fields, like pouet is for example.

- take a look to the old amiga mags and charts from the year 1993-1995, you will learn how to make an interface useful and cool to use and see
