Where do you read this?

Looking forward to the party, yay! But yeah, gotta agree - not being suspicious about the origin of the art used in prods would make the party more enjoyable :)
@darya: Of course I read the rules, but I interpret them different I think. At the end of the day it’s all about the honesty of the contributors. You can make a strict „No AI“-rule, but I think the team has not the time to check if the contributors stick to it.

No AI generated or inspired entries in graphics and music compos. No purely AI content in other compos.
I was referring to "other compos", which contain the real-time compos. But might be work in progress, as there are no specific compo rules yet. In any case, I typed the post because I would like to neither consume nor compete against anything made with the help of AI.
I'm REAL happy that you guys decided to do this again this year. Thank you!
I'm also glad to see that AI-generated content is still banned.

See you there! :)
YES!
”No purely AI content in other compos.”
followed by
”Entries have to be free of third party rights unless you have a legal license to use the given content. This means no ripped music or vocal samples, no movie snippets, no closeups of trademarked logos, etc.”
is confusing considering that genAI is nothing but stolen and regurgitated third party content.
Also to pre-empt any reply guy coming in with the standard ”well, ackshually” -schtick… Fuck you very much.

Actually, that's one possible interpreation. :-)
