They have a hub in the EU

I thought that was a hub for shipping. So units from EU hub will not have potential US tariff added?

Five! Dorrars! PCB stands for Perifractic's Chinese Business?

tomcat: keep your racist shit in your in ass and get the fuck out of here.

The above comment is a textbook example of how a demented mind works. Let's see rez's logic:

1. The manufacturing of certain electronics is discussed
2. It is suggested that said electronics is probably made in China
3. A very obvious wordplay is made on a recurring element of a related YouTube show
4. Demented mind recognizes the words "Chinese" and the name "tomcat"
5. Neuron activation
6. Demented mind is outraged! RACISM DETECTED!!

There is nothing racist in anything I said. You are simply unable to overcome your mental conditioning. On the other hand, I don't think China needs you as their personal bodyguard.

"I have depicted you as the demented mind and myself as the rational mind. Better luck next time!"

I am not paranoid. But of course, feel free rushing to your comrade's aid. Just pull down this thread like others, and be proud of yourself.

This was a perfectly fine conversation, but nooo, you had to bring your activism here, and begin screaming and cussing about racism, because everything must be about you. And of course, it has to be you who call out, who step in, who raise the issue! You, the defender of everything sacred!

This topic is about Perifractic's Commodore acquisition. If you wish to cry about social issues, go somewhere else. If you have a problem with me, come to me. In person. And now, back to our regular programming, please.

So... based on the specs, would this C64 Ultimate be good enough device for running old and new C64 demos?
Outside all the demo scene's nonsense-socialism vs. various definitions of radicalism, which is why "The demo scene has every reason to join." is not that obvious at all.

Pouet is by definition one of the last places to expect meaningful conversation about any topic right after 1st page. Too many millennials dominating and crying out about the world not being as they were told to become.

But anyway, it was the same with x-16 commander when David Murray and Kevin Williams tried to attract demo scene to the project... they were asked to get the fuck out as they came with "wrong manners..." and then they found out their own community, go on just fine and even have their own self-developed Second Reality port.

I'm personally curious and following new announcements related to that acquisition. I have all sort of retro machines already at home like if I was running a museum and less time than ever to enjoy any single of them, thus I'm more conservative about buying, yet.

Maybe off-topic, maybe not, but the ZX Spectrum also just got a modern overhaul, the Sprinter. It is to the Speccy what the Ultimate is to the C-64. It's based on earlier Russian Spectrum successors like the Scorpion or the Pentagon 128. I just tried one at CC, and it's really amazing. If any of you are into the Spectrum too, it's worth checking out.

Have you tried a PC with Nvidia RTX 5090, It's a modern overhaul of a classic IBM PC, based on the 3D accelerators and 166 MHz pentium processors of the 1990s. I just tried one at friend's place and it's really amazing. If any of you are into masturbation and constantly upgrading your platform, it's worth checking out.
